(I am not a lawyer, and these are my thoughts, not instruction) Do you have proof that they requested the information? As you're the one going to be doing the emailing, I'd want to be sure that they were legitimately sourced email addresses. Tip: if the emails are advertising blue pills, russian bri...

Perhaps the ticket is set to resolved after it has been sent to the supplier for them to resolve? Correct. This is the easiest way for support companies supporting large numbers of clients (who don't always acknowledge that an issue has been resolved). To ensure that time isn't wasted chasing up is...

Out of interest what does dropping your MTU affect? MTU = Maximum Transmission Unit. From my limited understanding of ADSL technical details it determines the size (in bytes) of each TCP packet sent by your modem. Sometimes, intermediate hops only support 1472, 1450 or lower MTUs. In these cases, a...

Hi Anthony, Our PBX is a Hybrex G1 824 Yes we have spare PSTN lines. Will require 4 outbound calls. No inbound via VoIP at the moment only Out. Thanks If you have 4 spare PSTN lines available for connection on the PBX, then the V440 will be suitable. Depending on your location, I would suggest PM'i...

Re: Hardware recomendations for small biz

Hi, We are looking at getting Exetel VoIP for our business. It will only be used for outgoing calls. The setup needs to be able to allow us to use our current PBX and allow multiple concurrent outgoing calls. Can anyone suggest/recommend any hardware that would be required to achieve this. Thanks, ...

The offpeak is a bonus but the plan we are paying for is for use between 12 Noon and Midnight. The rest of the time we need the "bonus". Isn't it just set like that to differentiate between peak and off-peak hours? Way back when Exetel started the offpeak was only 8hrs long If I recall correctly an...

So this may indicate that the problem lies with routing BACK to your exchange/POP. Have you included this in your ticket(s)?

This may also be indicitive of a MTU issue. Have you done any testing with your MTU settings?

Just a quick question - are you guys experiencing the same problems when downloading from within the Exetel network?

Have you tried downloading something from http://mirror.exetel.com.au?

Isn't the plan quota limit that we purchased the main part of our plan? Shouldn't we be entitled to use than WHENEVER we want? I thought the offpeak 48gb was just a "bonus". I believe your "purchased" quota should be used up in it's entirety before you start charging over-use fees. T. p.s. However....

Re: downloads stop

Closer I have put in that many fault tickets it's not funny. I go to check on them only to find the status set to resolved and have to keep creating new ones. Not trying to be smart about this CLoser but I'm sure you can understand the frustration I'm going through here. I post a question to start ...

By what you're highlighting, you're mis-interpreting the results of the traceroute. The first bolded item - a 3000 ms response from hop two - this is safe to ignore. You had data come in/out of your connection when this was happening, or that router was too busy to respond in a timely manner. The ot...
