Definately - I would want to be able to use data at the billed rate, with pre-acknowledgement.

I understand your frustration, when the download freezes does the whole connection freeze or does is it just the download, if it is simply the download, then this cannot be related to an exetel fault. Hi David, From what I remember, this is for multiple file sources, tested on multiple modems and m...

Is this the 'regular offenders' or have we new candidates "getting their monies worth" before the new limits/charges kick in?

Re: SLOW SPEED

yes, this is what exetel said. Personally I think this response is a joke. I am on a 8/384 plan and my speeds used to be over 700Kb/s up until about 2 weeks ago As amusing as you state it is (yes I know - sarcasm) Exetel may be hampered by the conditions that the Telco's put on - basically if you a...

But it *is* about ancient OS'es. Vista, XP, OSX, even Windows 2000 will be able to view the current website, in either Flash or non-Flash format. Those people that can't install flash - I question their ability to even use a computer. On a default installation, with no flash installed, you should be...

Shady, I like Exetel; I recommend you to people; I am trying to be helpful. Others are having trouble too (see Dr Snapid this morning). Good sites reserve commercial plugins for banners, decorative sidebars and other non-essentials. Goodness knows what my W95 & W98 boxes make of it, I haven't tried...

If its an IPSEC firewall, you may be forced to purchase 1 or 2 more of the devices to connect sucessfully.

Good luck!

I think I saw some of your other thread - have you confirmed that your profile has actually migrated to your modem. I'd also even try leaving your modem off for an extended period (overnight) and see if this makes a difference. Have you been able to get the statistics for your modem? Sync rate / SNR...

Perhaps. As you would know we constantly modify the wen site and have done so for four years. We'll probably add click for non flash rather than a click for flash. Sorry - not what I was getting at. When the pages loads, you have to click the flash control to "activate" it - so that you can click l...

Be wary of IPSEC firewalls - they can be horribly complicated to setup if you don't have experience with them, and have a mixture of firewall/NAT devices at the client end. Some Draytek modems have the ability to provide PPTP VPN. In this instance, I'd almost be suggesting a linux firewall to handle...
