Require urgent A/H support

Is anyone from Exetel available for after hours support, regarding DNS issues? Records were incorrectly changed this afternoon, which need to be rectified immediately.

Re: NSW ADSL1 and ADSL2 down

ADSL1 services are back up. All ADSL2+ services ( I have five) are still down, even after power-cycling.

NSW ADSL1 and ADSL2 down

I have over ten NSW ADSL1 and ADSL2+ lines, and they're all unavailable at the moment. Is there a network issue?

Just spoke to Optus, who have added another curveball. This location shows up in their directory without any problems whatsoever. However, there's no Optus infrastructure to the building, so they're unable to provide a new telephone line.

So, back to Telstra! Oh.. that's right.. :(

New phone line

I'm currently having major Telstra problems regarding the installation of a new phone line. For some strange reason, the location does not come up in Telstra's database, even though there is already a working phone installed on site. Ironically, the location comes up in the White Pages as a street w...

It is a remote location with no-one on site, so unfortunately there is no way of knowing this. However, the service does work OK when it's online (if perhaps a little slow, compared to my other ADSL connections in the same region).

Patchy internet service - ADSL, Telco or router fault?

I've been getting very patchy service on one of my ADSL lines over the last month or so - frequent periods of downtime (2-20 hours at a time). I have a sneaking suspicion that it's a faulty Telstra line (corroded line, water damage etc). However, I have managed to save the router logs (brand new Bil...

Intermittent Vic ADSL network?

My three Vic ADSL lines have been simultaneously intermittent since 7:30am this morning. There's been no downtime anywhere else in the country as far as I can see. Is this a network problem?

Even though there is no regular phone service for Naked ADSL2+ plans, is there still a dial tone on the line? If not, how do you trouble shoot line faults?

Thanks Closer.. much appreciated. The ongoing costs aren't actually all that bad - two OPT A plans would cost $90/month, including phone rental for both lines - compare this to two 512K lines, which would be $170/month for the ADSL connection, plus an extra $40-70/month for phone rental (depending o...

Port Bonding

Is Port Bonding a possible option to increase bandwidth? (both upstream and downstream). From this website : "ADSL2+ allows port bonding. This is where multiple ports are physically provisioned to the end user and the total bandwidth is equal to the sum of all provisioned ports. So if 2 lines capabl...
