2) We have had a policy since we started of keeping our users informed - I doubt that anything we say is of any use to any competitor. If it is it means one of two things: I like Exetel for the same reason, i find it rather interesting getting to read up on the technical side of an ISP, and its a n...

I guess it just proves how much of an impact marketing has on your average user. I have heaps of family members who have thought about signing up to a major ISP and in some cases I've given up on persuading them otherwise. The fact is most people just don't know what it is they're getting and really...

Exetel Customer Account Tools

All aspects of your ADSL account can be maintained by you using the facilities shown on the drop down menus on the right hand side of this page.
It should be left, not right.

Hey guys, I recently used the change my IP feature. The initial screen says the first TEN changes are free and you will be charged from the eleventh change onwards. Then once you change your IP it says you will be charged $20 after the SECOND change. There is no way (as far as I know) that you could...

Bordo I'm with you. Assuming these problems are related to the modem and not my ADSL line the NB5 is a total waste of money. I've had numerous drop outs, PPP failures, sync loses and random "crashes" where I seem to loose settings at random. A good example is where I keep loosing all my port forward...

Just try making an account with "unregistered" or "spam" or "registration". Any of those are guaranteed to get you 100 spam mails a day ;).

I'm getting about 3 viagra spams a day but have never had a problem with outgoing spam.

Well it's obvious from this thread that some people have more complex needs than others. I am still waiting on being able to auto-forward & delete my exemail to another address No offence intended but does that mean it's kind of irrelevant to this discussion? I mean, I agree with you that it would b...

I think this is a great idea and I can totally understand why Exetel would need to implement such a policy. I have no idea why there are so many whingers here! If you need to keep email for whatever reason you shouldn't be relying on a server outside of your control anyway! Just download it to your ...

Users demand 24/7 phone support What total BS! I think you'll find that the majority of users do NOT demand 24/7 support. I just got of the phone with iPrimus after configuring a 56k account for a friends mother and for the THIRD time in a row I was kept waiting for 15-40 (yes FORTY) minutes. I hav...
