Re: Possible Change To Off Peak Period

Or will it simply shift that to 2AM? When the uncounted period start time was shifted from 2AM to midnight, on 1 September 2006, there was a quite obvious increase in the bandwidth being used, apparently because people who were awake at 12 and not at 2 started doing more downloading. (Many people h...

Re: Increase In Off Peak Allowance On Relevant ADSL Plans

Is this applicable to people churning to ADSL1 plans? I note that is the only page still showing 48GB.

Re: Increases To Many ADSL1 Plan Allowances

Nice, seems you really want to keep people on the ADSL1 plans. But not on 512/128 it seems. As soon as I saw the email I checked and my TELH-512 plan is still 36GB (again). I looked up the ADSL1 plans and there are only two 512/128 plans left! None of the 1500/256 plans come close to the quota I ge...

Re: Slow Speed (not supposed to be shaped)

I selected the shaping option in May just to see what happens. I only went 363MB over my peak time quota but saw no speed changes. Then, at about 1pm today, my connection was suddenly shaped to 64kbits/s according to my firewall graphs. It's the flatest line Ive ever seen. Everything is slow.

Re: "Shaped" Plan Option

2) It could be activated by directing the customer to a 'blocked page' that says "you have reached your quota - select either a 'shaped' service or agree to pay $3.00 per gb for downloads from now onwards. In option 2 it could be done on the basis of requiring a pre-payment for a 'block' of 5 or 10...

Don't you mean 48GB? That's the amount that's included in your plan, not 72GB

You could always just try using the Toid's Exetel usage meter.

48Gb is plenty for everybody , not just Mums and Dads. I quite agree. I use my account for business. I build/rebuild a lot of PCs and Windows and Office updates contribute significantly to my quota each month but I've never bothered installing WSUS on the server because my quota has always handled ...

One would hope so. While Exetel is quite within its rights to change conditions it's common courtesy to advise of such changes.

i never broke any rules (well at least not on purpose) Whether or not you broke them on purpose is irrelevant. The fact is that you broke them and claiming you didn't break them is plainly wrong. I never have used any foul language so your quite wrong about that, So when you said: IF YOU HAVE NOTHI...
