Annoyance with the Exetel homepage

I just came across an annoying aspect with the Exetel homepage http://www.exetel.com.au/. The menu at the top of the page containing the login boxes is not scrollable with the horizontal scrollbar in Firefox 20.0.1 when the browser window is narrower than the menu. It can obscure the Login button an...

Re: Please Use This Thread To Advise Exetel Of Typos/Errors

I think the question was since when there is a 32 day month? My usage meter is showing the same error.

Re: Off peak usage transferred to Peak usage.

I have similar problem with my usage meter in the past couple of days, somehow most of my off-peak usage for the previous day were transferred to the peak usage overnight.

Except that the totals for Offpeak Upload and Download are zeroes in the searches that I did.

Re: Three Months Free ADSL

Is this true?. Yes. Hmm, interesting. I would like to confirm that this latest offer will release those of us that are still under the 12 month AAPT contract. Is this correct? I see that the ADSL and telephone charges has been juggled from the last offer, though the total cost remains the same for ...

Re: Special ADSL Offer refusal

I would be interested to know why were these e-mails sent to people that are apparently not eligible to take up this offer. I have received the same offer but when I sent a query for some clarifications, I was told that I won't be able to apply for the Optus plans as I am still under AAPT contract a...

Re: Global/International Roaming

This is from someone who know very little the B2B side between the mobile carriers and their resellers. The logical thing for the mobile carriers to have based on their charging structures, should have the following 4 switches for their mobile services: 1. Local voice 2. Local data 3. International ...

Re: usagemeter_xml.php and billing date changes

It looks like that the detail usage page has been fixed. Thanks. Can I request we have the option to enter the year and month in the end date of the customer usage query as we need to do for the start date please? The way the usage query is configured right now, those of us with the billing period n...

Access to IPv6 board on this forum

Is the IPv6 topic on this forum restricted as when I tried to access it, it says I don't have permission for it?

PPPoA on PowerTel Exchanges

My ADSL2+ line on a PowerTel Exchange failed on PPP authentication since shortly after midnight this morning. It took me most of the day after logging the fault with Exetel to think of changing the PPP authentication on my modem from PPPoA to PPPoE. Obviously something changed at the Exchange end wi...

Helpdesk Tickets not showing on Cerberus Helpdesk

I have a couple of faults logged (including one today) that are listed in the ADSL Fault Status in my member area. However, they don't show up in the Cerberus Helpdesk system under my login. Any idea what may have happened? Or should I log a fault on the Helpdesk system? 8)

Re: Packet loss

Same here. I am on a PowerTel line and this morning was very bad. My SSH session was, at times, worse than on a dialup line until about 12:30. Lost packets, tty lagged up to about 30 seconds made typing very painful.

Re: Migration Of ADSL1 Customers To Optus ADSL2

Will it improve if using ADSL2 modem? Is it normal where I live 4-5km from exchange? Do I suppose to get at least 1500kb with ADSL2 connection? Do I need to lodge a fault ticket? I just want to have a connection above 1500kb without rebooting modem. Thanks. Not really, you may get a little higher u...

Re: Pioneer Discount Increase From 1st February 2009

It was done as a very genuine gesture of thanks to the people who had signed up before June 30th 2004 for putting up with that fiasco. ... The Pioneer discount, in most cases, means that Exetel provides the service at a loss in monetary terms. Not that I am whinging, particularly when you are provi...
