Have you turned off your ADSL modem and turned it back on again?
I had to reconnect to get my usual IP.

Re: Perth Routing...
The latency is starting to become very noticable, particularly when using VOIP during the evening. I'm quite nieve about how Exetel's VOIP works. My understand would be regardless if your POP was in Sydney or Perth, the VOIP data still needs to go to the Exetel's VOIP server in Sydney right? I'm in...

blocked.exetel.com.au
Hi, A couple of days ago I knew that I went over my off-peak limit and my IP got changed to the 10.*.*.* where I went to http://blocked.exetel.com.au/usage.php After saying that I agree/accept it said that the service would be restored within 5 minutes. So I went to work. When I came home it was sti...

Re: ABC TV iview stopped
Hey,
I've got ADSL2+ in Perth and iView just sits on 6, 14, 17kbps. What was weird was I just looked at it just then and it went form 17 to 1800kbps for two or three seconds, then back to 17kbps.
I've only ever tried iview between midnight to midday AEST. Has anyone had better luck during the day?

Re: Update of line number portability status?
If you are referring to going to the Naked ADSL2 service and porting your PSTN number to VOIP, this is still currently being looked at although the likelihood of offering this in the near future is slim. Yes, that is what I'm suggesting as a service improvement :) Thanks for being frank about not h...

ADSL - Change Service Status
Hi, I was trying to change my 'with phone' ADSL2 to a naked ADSL2. I clicking on both the "change my service" and the "change service status" links in the user facilities. The "change my service" worked obviously. But the "change service status" was blank, and I (at the time) could not figure out wh...

Cheers James, I guess I'll just go ahead with changing anyway.

Update of line number portability status?
Hi,
Has there been any progress for line number portability from the previous Exetel response of "looking into it" status?
Thanks,
Clive

Finally, 64 kbps is slow. A shaped speed of 128 kbps would be nicer, or even 192 kbps (this may be the fastest shaping speed in Australia, which would be a cool selling point, it's certainly better than Telstra or Optus). I think the point of shaping is to give the customer the hint that perhaps th...

Dave and Mike, I don't speak for exetel, but I would imagine that because you currently get charged for all traffic over your limit mirrors included, then you would also get shaped for that content. I applaud you exetel for asking your customers what they want. I've seen many people in the whirlpool...

An Asterisk based box will be able to do it. Unfortunately we cannot do PSTN >> VoIP number porting at present. Is there any plans to do it in the near future? Or is it far future? I wouldn't mind paying a fee to do it. I'm on the ADSL2 with phone plans and was thinking of moving to naked ADSL2. I ...

Well prior to Christmas I was always under 30gb but I got something for Christmas added 45gb of stuff that I would have otherwise not bothered with.CoreyPlover wrote:PS: 54Gb in just over 1 week, hey?

Warning Email
I thought I'd do all my downloading before the end of January to take advantage of my 72GB this month. However I got an email from exetel today Dear: ME This is an automated warning that you have downloaded 54407 MB in the period 12 midnight to 12 noon so far this month. You are reminded that if you...
