Re: A tip for Regular Forum Viewers :) (Auto login)

I was logged in today, having already replied to a post. Then went to reply later on, and I had to enter the login details again.

Any idea when this will be fixed please ?

Re: Applying for ADSL1 when already use HSPA ?

So, you have Member Facility access but no ADSL sync? Yes, I have ADSL member facility; I haven't tried the ADSL sync for many weeks (see below, for reason) You should definitely chase this with provisioning@exetel.com.au. Okay, I will test it today with an ADSL modem , and see what happens, and th...

Any news on the auto login ? It's a real pain logging in twice.

Re: Is coming from BigPong 3G considered a churn ?

It's probably not locked, but it's easy to test. Put Exetel's proxy IP, your VoIP DID and your password into it, and see if it registers. A different ISP doesn't matter. If not, remove your private info and restore it to iTalkBB. Okay, thanks, that is easy to test. I don't have a VoIP DID myself (a...

Re: Is coming from BigPong 3G considered a churn ?

Thanks Dazzled. I must be half asleep, as I forgot the current setup they are using. Bigpong 3G <==> Netcoom N3G002W <==> LinkSys SPA 2102 <==> Phone So, we could effectively use my old Billion, and the LinkSys VoIP box, I assume. The Linksys box was purchased by a friend, and I think it is l...

Re: Is coming from BigPong 3G considered a churn ?

Hi Dazzled, thanks for the clarification on a churn. As it is mostly VoIP that this person would be using, then I'd say by your reply, that a 1500/256 plan would be adequate, and then use QoS to give the VoIP higher priority. I just realised that my old Billion 741GE would be useless for this, as it...

Is coming from BigPong 3G considered a churn ?

As the subject states, if someone is currently using BigPong 3G, and they moved to Exetel ADSL1, is that considered as an ADSL1 churn ? Technically, years ago, a churn was simply a move from one ISP to another. Also, if the current 3G user wanted to use VoIP with Exetel ADSL1, would it be better if ...

Re: A tip for Regular Forum Viewers :) (Auto login)

There is probably an even easier way though: Have us moderators only approve accounts with either a valid exemail.com.au email address, or an originating Exetel IP address. For all current accounts, you can automatically approve all forum accounts that pass the above, or have had posts made from an...

Re: A tip for Regular Forum Viewers :) (Auto login)

Surely it only needs to be "authenticated" once . By "authenticated", I mean after entering the forum username/pwd, if you want to post, you have to enter in your Exetel members username/pwd. It is very annoying , and surely once (and only once) the 'forum" user is validated as being an Exetel user,...

Re: Applying for ADSL1 when already use HSPA ?

The member facilities and the ADSL get activated at different times, sometimes member facilities is good to go before ADSL is active, on rare occasions the opposite. Also, I've always used 03nnnnnnnn as username for Member facilities too. 03nnnnnnnn@vic.exetel.com.au is only necessary for the modem...

Re: Applying for ADSL1 when already use HSPA ?

Received another email this morning from Exetel, same as the last one, detailing all the ADSL setup, etc. Does anything have to be done on the Exetel side of things, to 'activate' this ? Modem is blinking on ADSL light, which indicates line is not ADSL activated I guess. Pete Later, ..hmm, just did ...
