Re: Applying for ADSL1 when already use HSPA ?

I tried the 'recover password' thing and it said "Your ADSL account status is pending new. Please wait a few days until your account status is active, or contact Exetel.".

So, I'll wait a few days. :)

Re: Applying for ADSL1 when already use HSPA ?

The ADSL1 got rejected about 10 days or more, ago. Just a few days ago, I did a resubmit and it got accepted.

Tried to login to the user facilities, but it won't let me login, it just clears the username and password.

Re: Applying for ADSL1 when already use HSPA ?

Thanks Jason. I think there may be a HSPA 'backup', so might be good to keep the HSPA, but downgrade to use it only as a backup. Basically, the HSPA gives me fairly good speeds now (just got 1.35 Mbps via a speed test at present), and I don't use all the quota. If I got ADSL, I would only be wanting...

Applying for ADSL1 when already use HSPA ?

Hi, If I try to apply for ADSL1, and am currently a HSPA user, am I a new user or a churn user ? technically I'm not churning from another ISP, and I'm also not a 'new' user. Also, I would hope there are some mechanics in place, to not cancel my HSPA if the ADSL1 applicatio is successful, as ...

Re: Exetel DNS cache ?

Dazzled, I assume one way of fixing this, on one level at least, is to replace the name server definitions (NS records) at the registrar level from:

ns1.hosthost.co.uk
ns0.hosthost.co.uk

to ..

ns5.hosthost.co.uk
ns4.hosthost.co.uk

Exetel DNS cache ?

I have used the following for the dns side of things Primary: 220.233.0.4 Secondary: 220.233.0.3 and was contacted by my son, who couldn't resolve the Healthy Earth website . Both of us use Exetel, so I wondered how often Exetel update their dns cache ? I can reach that website okay, but he can't ? ...

Re: Reductions In Wireless Broadband Plans

I didn't realise that the 20 free SMS messages that I used to get with HSPA no longer apply. Sent one tonight from member facilities, and noticed the charge appear there. Pity I didn't use it previously, looks like I missed out on about 300 free SMS's. :(

Re: Mirror Changes (28th, 29th 30th March)

I woud have thought that any downloads from the Mirror, would not count towards monthly quota/allowance. But obviously it does (just checked members site details).

Re: Huge packet loss ?

When the speed does go from a crawl to 'fast' (this happens in an instant), it is very good. Just downloaded a 690Mb file at an average of 169 KB/s

Now it would be great to know (beforehand), if the connection was at a crawl or not. :)

Re: Huge packet loss ?

It's been at the usual crawl today, left it for a few hours. Came back at 4:15 pm , and the speed has sky rocketted again, Have run 3 speed tests since then, and speed is still very good now.
