One way traffic on outbound calls

Hi All, I'm having some problems setting up my VOIP line. I'm running a Linksys PAP2 VOIP ATA behind a Billion 7300N router. Inbound calls work 100% fine as far as I can tell. Outbound calls connect, and the recipient can hear me, but I can't hear anything. I don;t even hear a ring tone when the cal...

Integrating HSPA and ADSL user services

Hi, I've been an Exetel ADSL and mobile customer for s few years now, and this week I added an HSPA M1 mobile phone/data service. My SIM arrived, I set it up and ported my number and all is good. However I currently have sparate logins for my ADSL and HSPA user services, and I assume billing. Is it ...

Re: Increased ADSL2 Plan Allowances

Awesome stuff. I recently applied to switch from a INCPHONE plan to the NONPHONE A naked ADSL plan, with the new datsa allowances the NONPHONE Z will now be sufficient for my needs. Is there a way of changing my current pending request to the NONPHONE Z plan? All plan changes can be done in the use...

Re: HSPA VoIP Performance

I tried out the Exetel VOIP service using XMeeting (open source OS X VOIP client) which uses G711 and it seemed fine.

Re: I-phone 3G Plans

Well Exetel should be releasing their 3G data plans in September where you should be able to get that 1GB for $20 a month. Sadly the SIM will only have a data service on it, no voice service. Agreed, that would be perfect. I really like Exetels current mobile offerings, I'm just gonna need a way to...

Re: I-phone 3G Plans

2. The Vodafone 3G service works, refer to the GPRS rates; http://www.exetel.com.au/mobile_plans_capped.php Ouch. Thats would have the potential to get insanely expensive for data pretty quickly : ( (No plans for any capped mbile plans including 250MB or so of data I suppose?) Guess I'm gonna have ...

1: considering that they are only released tomorrow, I doubt you've had the 3G model for 7 months.

2: you still haven't indicated whether the Vodafone 3G service works through Exetel and what the data rates are.

Re: I-phone 3G Plans

^^ Not up to your usual helpful standard I must say.... Lets not turn this into a iPhone love in or hatefest please.... I could go to whirlpool or any other tech forum on the planet if I wanted that! the fact is I'm getting a free phone to play with, and want to know if it'll be economical to use on...

Re: I-phone 3G Plans

What are the current charges for 3G data on Exetel's plans? I'm looking at the mobile page but can only see GPRS info. And will a Vodafone locked iPhone work with an Exetel SIM considering they're a resold Voda service? I'll be lucky enough to get my hands on a free iPhone handset soon, and I'd like...

TP-Link TD-8810 setup issues

I'm having major issues getting this modem to work on my Exetel ADSL2+ connection (Optus DSLAM). I've got it working before but can;t for the life of me remember what settings I need to use. Could someone please post what the following settings should be? VPI VCI Connection Type (PPoE, PPPoA, IPoA e...

Hi, I received a notification today that my current inc phone plan is being withdrawn from service and I will need to transition to another plan. Given that this now makes the naked DSL plans more attractive to me is there any way I'll be able to transition to one of them rather than to one of the n...

I'd like the facility to pay via Amex, and I think quite a few others would too if the fees were no higher than for other options. Quite a few of my customers use Amex wherever they can due to the Amex airpoints rewards being significantly higher than other cards, they derive a real benefit from bei...

Fantastic idea. Like most others here I think faxes are an annoying, outmoded technology, but a lot of businesses still seem to require them. As someone whose been using broadband exclusively for the last 5 years or so I don;'t even have a dial-up modem left in my household so I can't send or receiv...
