There is a simple test to check if you have a problem with the server, or whether the problem is with your mail client. Open a terminal/DOS prompt. Some Windows users may have to enable telnet. Perhaps it's this - after putting in the second SIM, drag down the status bar at the top of the home screen and select "Welcome to your dual SIM".

We use the Linphone softphone on both Android and Linux systems very successfully, on whatever network we find when travelling. There is a version for Apple as well.

My first reply had an "if", for separate router and ATA, which it turns out did not apply to your case. My second post clarified that. It is a common problem for householders. If you have a handset fault, it is easily tested by plugging the phone directly into a wall socket and using it on the stand...

The NF10WV has the VoIP digital to analogue stuff built in, so port 5060 is forwarded by default. Your problem is very common with separate equipment, and I posted the usual fix in that case.

Support can check the server for you, but no incoming calls can be caused by the router rejecting an uninvited signal, which they do by default. If you use a separate router and ATA device or ATA-containing handset, check that port 5060 UDP is forwarded to the device.

The sounds you hear are all generated by the router ATA section. The caller who tired of the answering machine will have sent a SIP CANCEL digital packet. It should be replied to by your device, and then the conversation shut down at your end. Perhaps a peek at the logs will give a clue.

Use the values I posted in the SMTP section. SSL is no. Authentication is none.

Exetel checks that you are using an Exetel service for outgoing emails.
