Cannot access anything but a few Exetel sites
Odd, as of sometime within the last half hour or so, I cannot access anything but forum.exetel.com.au, stevebow.blogs.exetel.com.au and mirror.exetel.com.au. Anything else gives a network timeout error. It seems some Internet websites are accessible and others not. I can get to Google but not Yahoo,...

Re: Black text on Dark Grey Background VERY difficult to read
I would say there's a rendering issue with Mozilla. For one thing, the page renders fine (black text on white) in FF3 and IE7. Also note in your screengrab how the Exetel logo is cut by the white Copyright notice. With FF3 and IE7 that white bar appears at the very bottom of the page and you see the...

Re: Sometimes get fax tone when calling an Exetel VOIP number
Me too! When I tried to call my VOIP number from my mobile yesterday, I got a fax tone. Why is that? My father said when he tried to call me last week he also got a fax tone. He was also calling from his mobile, not sure if that has any bearing though. I'd love to try switch through a fax machine to...

Re: Can't connect to http://viralurl.com
I have a feeling earlier versions of Spybot inserted a list of "blacklisted" hosts into the system hosts file, redirecting these hosts to 127.0.0.1. I just checked my own hosts file (which I think some version of Spybot installed) and yes, viralurl.com and http://www.viralurl.com are both "blacklist...

Re: ADSL2 Naked free VOIP calls
I had exactly the same situation. You have to e-mail voip@exetel.com.au and notify them of your plan change so you can get your 100 free calls.
For some reason this does not happen automatically.

Re: Is there a 2 hour time limit?
Just an update to this. I have made several ~4½ hour calls overseas and to Melbourne (from Sydney) and I was not cut off (was 4 hrs and 2 hrs resp.).
Whatever was fixed seems to have done the trick, thanks.

Re: unable to receive emails
The pop server (pop3.nsw.exemail.com.au) is simply not responding after the password is sent and the e-mail client just times out:

Re: New home.exetel.com.au server now available for use
Yes and no. Yes we will enable it as soon as ProFTPd 1.3.2 is released (see http://bugs.proftpd.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3015 ). Ah yes, so I see. Nice. I see in the rc1 release notes the module responsible is compiled in by default. Let's hope it stays that way for the final release. And that we don't ...

Re: New home.exetel.com.au server now available for use
I've set up and migrated my old site to the new server without problems. I just have two questions: 1. Will we be able to determine our own FTP password please? The password I used on the old server was something I could remember if I had to do an update away from home. The passwords generated in th...
