Re: New ADSL2 Plan Parameters

As Forum Admin says, "off-peak" is not arbitrarily chosen. It is aligned to usage levels. "off-peak" means "periods of time when the network is underutilised" and usage is high after 8-9am, hence the change. In that case, Exetel could introduce some sort of dynamic off peak. eg an off peak that cha...

Re: New ADSL2 Plan Parameters

I would like to see a set limit for the offpeak period...say 60gb (as is current for many old plans).

I can imagine the 12noon-6pm off peak being abused during school/uni holidays for example.

Thanks....I know about that.

I was hoping Exetel would block known scam calls...for free :)

Nuisance Calls?

Yesterday, I got 2 calls on my voip account from:
  • 0011342001 at 8:36pm
  • 0011976000 at 12:35am
A google search indicates these are probably scam calls. They ring once and then hang up (registering as missed on my phone)

Can Exetel block these numbers (and probably others like them)?

Re: Free Wireless with ADSL questions

you can still port a number to a data SIM, unless something has changed recently they'll also receive incoming calls Does this post imply otherwise? https://forum.exetel.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=35392&start=105#p277754 This WB bundle is not available to use in a phone. Re: Free Wireless with ADSL questions

I thought the free wireless was data only, and not voice.

That would mean no mobile number porting and no incoming calls.

Would Exetel consider increasing the off peak from 2-8 to 2-10? That would really sweeten the deal...

Re: Rationale Behind Change Of Plan 'Direction'

I'm currently on NF/22INCTEL for $70 / month. Would Exetel prefer if I change to OTB $60 / month, which has same peak and 2-8 off peak (which im fine with....remember, it was the original off peak!)?

It is cheaper, but for how long can Exetel (realistically) continue to provide OTB at $60?

Re: Wireless Internet Included In ADSL Plan Prices

Again, if you use MoIP why would you ever consider pre-paying for calls? I guess the issue is that MoIP does not integrate into the phone as well as, say, the phone itself. (Although I use MoIP when in good reception...) Also, phone gets hot when using MoIP...(but I won't discuss it in this thread)...

Optus HSPA Voice Billing

Hello All, Would Exetel consider updating the existing Optus HSPA voice charges to per second billing. Right now my mum and brother both have an Exetel post paid mobile (vodafone) and their rates are fantastic (thanks exetel...!). Looking at mine, they seem even better. I'm sure there would be suppo...

Re: Exetel MoIP

Call quality is very good - but this was in good 3G reception... Can't comment on battery life, as I'm only opening MoIP to make calls - and then shut it down. The history displays incorrect call durations (or maybe it isn't displaying the minutes...) and doesn't seem to sort properly. And yeah, wou...

Re: Reductions In Wireless Broadband Plans

Damn, you're right.

I wish Exetel could have mentioned this before this month.

Oh well, I've changed to the newer HSPA plans which don't have the $5 monthly access charge.

Re: MoIP + SMS over IP...Finally Released

Sorry to bring up this point...but.....

Number masking with our mobile number would nicely compliment Exetel's MoIP solution.

Alas for Verizon's policy...
