Re: VoIP Issues

Calling local numbers via 0011, eg 0011 612 9876 5432 works, but 02 9876 5432 and 9876 5432 don't. I would not recommend dialing less than the 10 digits for a phone number, you will probably get away with dialing an 02 number considering the VoIP server is apparently located in Sydney. Fair enough....

Re: VoIP Issues

Well, resetting didn't fix anything....

Anyway, I've added a dial plan which adds 0011612 to any local number. For the time being, that hack will have to do.

Re: VoIP Dialling Problem

So my Linksys 3102 works fine with pennytel in the gateway but not with exetel as line 1, but it does ring OK when I try my mobile phone. apologies if you've mentioned it already but what codec options do you have set when using Exetel? I've also got the engaged tone problem. Calling mobiles and in...

Re: VoIP Issues

I'm having problems calling local numbers....all local numbers come out as engaged. International and mobile are okay. Calling local numbers via 0011, eg 0011 612 9876 5432 works, but 02 9876 5432 and 9876 5432 don't. EDIT: This is with my ATA, a Linksys SPA3102. Tried X-Lite and my s60 nokia...same...

The problems experienced should then be fixed. Exetel of course apologises for those issues experienced.
So has this happened now?

Re: What have you done to my VOIP?

I've set up a sipsorcery.com account and voip hasnt lost sync for the last 4 days. Sipsorcery registers with Exetel, and my ATA (linksys spa3102) registers with sipsorcery. I'm sure this has added about 200ms of lag, but my parents havent noticed it yet, so who knows...! It's funny, because the ATA ...

Re: 12 Hour 'Off Peak' Now For New ADSL2 Plans

Exetel, Would you consider throttling P2P during the 12am-2am period? While I'm very happy to get back my 00-12 off peak, I would still like to enjoy streaming youtube/video around midnight... Yes we would - we don't regard the speed of P2P in the off peak period as in any way important and are just...

Re: 12 Hour 'Off Peak' Now For New ADSL2 Plans

I'm a current customer on the INCPHONE A plan - $65. I don't use the "frills" on this plan since I've also got an HSPA account which has all the frills I need (free sms + voip) If I change to NF/22INCTEL (which is also $65), what will be the new contract period (not that im planning to move away!!!)...

JamesR wrote:Could you try changing the address from sip1.exetel.com.au to 58.96.1.2 to see if this fixes the problem?
Doing that fixes the problem in X-Lite....now i'll try my ATA

EDIT: OK, using 58.96.1.2 fixes the problem. Thanks James.

I can't call as well.

Tried ATA, X-Lite, and my Nokia S60 voip.

Is there a problem on Exetel's side?

Gmail and Exemail

I get all my exemail email forwarded to a gmail account...so I don't have to worry about mailbox sizes. Now Gmail allows the use of another SMTP server to send mail (before, all mail was sent through gmails servers and the recipient saw From: xxxx@gmail.com on behalf of xxx@exemail.com.au). By using...

100 free VoIP calls billed

I use a VoIP service on my HSPA mobile phone, and currently I have been billed for local calls made.

Does the usage software need an update, or will we be credited the amount at the end of the month (like SMS).

Thank.
