Re: HSPA idles, then doesn't connect.

Typically your device drops down from HSPA to WCDMA/UMTS (3G) when the service is idle, but it should be within seconds (unless signal is poor or drops down to GPRS) that it connects back up at HSPA. There should be no significant delay in this occurring and sounds more to me like something to do wi...

Re: Upgraded from ADSL1 to ADSL2, what things can i expect?

Earlier this month I changed my old plan to a new ADSL2+ service, but it doesn't change over till the first of next month (April). I am just curious as to what I'm likely to encounter. Will the changeover go seemingly unnoticed? or will i lose my connection for a period of time. Actually you are al...

Re: Dropout and no internet access now

How do I check the 'modem is actually online'? With most modem/routers these days they have web interfaces, there are sections in the web interfaces which can show current WAN (PPP) statistics, such as if its connected, what IP address has been assigned and other such information. This is dependent...

Re: Dropout and no internet access now

I would suggest if this occurs again to make sure your modem is actually online (eg. is authenticated with us) and has an IP, then try pinging 220.233.0.4 or 220.233.0.3 (primary and secondary domain resolvers) You can also test another modem and see if you receive the same issues and if so, contact...

You can use "download them all' extension/add-on for Firefox which supports multiple connections at once for downloads using Firefox and is effectively a download manager for Firefox.

I would suggest you contact support with sync and speeds test results and they should be able to assist in atleast confirming if congestion is current.

Re: Moving Naked ADSL to new house

Since I only have a week to change premises, I presume that if I dont have my naked ADSL2 changed to the new premises due to unavailable ports, that I will have to cancel my existing exetel account, and just keep applying at the new premises until a port becomes available? Which would incur a new c...

Re: Moving Naked ADSL to new house

For customers who have either bundled ADSL2 (telephone and internet) or Naked ADSL2 existing with Exetel, we can have the service relocated without requiring an active line first. The above is only true if there is already existing telephone copper installed at the address but is simply inactive/dis...

Re: move from TPG to Exetel

I suddenly found the date of 2 April when I need to place the order to Exetel is Good Friday (Public holiday). Then followed by nearly 4 public holidays.. Is that the matter we need to consider? Will Exetel work in Public holiday? If I need to change a date because of this, which date is best then? ...

Re: New adsl2 + phone connection no dial tone

My sister in law got connected to ADSL2+ as of yesterday, however since yesterday afternoon she has no dial tone on her home phone. She has not yet tried to connect the modem. Is this normal, and what should our next step be? This is certainly not normal and shouldn't have occurred, i will try and ...

By the way, another question is how to determine the peak time 12noon-12midnight. I am in brisbane. Is that 12noon-12midnight for brisbane local time or sydney local time?Brisbane and sydney now has one hour difference.
All quota is now done in local time.

What do you mean by" placing the transfer order on Friday 02/04/2010 for 08/03/2010"?

I do not quite understand "08/03/2010". It was a past date. Sorry again for my stupid question.

Re: move from TPG to Exetel

If you have placed the cancellation date for 10/04/2010 i would recommend placing the transfer order on Friday 02/04/2010 for 08/03/2010. The reason for this is, despite TPG advising cancellation on 10/04/2010, it being a weekend they may place the cancellation of DSL order on 09/04/2010 which would...
