Re: SPA3102 dropping calls after 1 min since POST VOIP 0 plan

I discovered that the V300 is really a GTV300, locked to Go-Talk, so I had to deal with reflashing it so I could reprogram it. That done, I set it up and made some calls. No dropout, but the other party remarked that I was breaking up pretty badly. Sounded like the issue I had a long time ago before...

Re: SPA3102 dropping calls after 1 min since POST VOIP 0 plan

I already have Jason's guide, that's what I used to set it up in the first place. I will change the NAT settings, but I've never touched them before. Been working fine for nearly 2 years. I just remembered, I've got a Netcomm V300 up in the cupboard. If I hook it up and it works ok, then the trouble...

Re: SPA3102 dropping calls after 1 min since POST VOIP 0 plan

Bum, I was afraid that would happen. Trouble is I can't copy and paste all the info. I copied the form and filled in some bits of it: NAT Settings NAT Mapping Enable: no NAT Keep Alive Enable: no NAT Keep Alive Msg: $notify NAT Keep Alive Dest: $proxy This is messy, I don't like it, but all I can do...

Re: SPA3102 dropping calls after 1 min since POST VOIP 0 plan

If I can make it work, here are screen dumps of 2 of the SPA config pages. I don't see the images in the preview, but maybe they'll be there in real life. Here goes: Here is the line1 page (top half of it) http://bernie1.myvnc.com/SPAline1.jpg And part of the info page: http://bernie1.myvnc.com/SPAi...

Re: SPA3102 dropping calls after 1 min since POST VOIP 0 plan

No, that didn't make any difference. Call appears to be normal, but called party just disappears after about 1 minute.

Re: SPA3102 dropping calls after 1 min since POST VOIP 0 plan

Well, it's under "Voice" and "Line 1" and it's set to 3600. I haven't changed it. All I changed was the two things I mentioned.

SPA3102 dropping calls after 1 min since POST VOIP 0 plan

Help! I migrated to the POST VOIP 0 - DID plan the other day, and now when I call out, it drops out after exactly one minute, it seems. No tones or anything, it just goes quiet. The only changes I have made to the SPA3102 were on the user1 page, to enter the new DID number in place of the old VOIP n...

Re: XLITE problems

Take it from somebody who tried every softphone there is: Give up and get yourself an ATA. You'll never look back.

Re: wireless voip call failed

I agree completely; although x-lite is ok as softphones go (and I tried them all), my voip experience was an ongoing nightmare until I got a Linksys SPA3102 ATA. Although configuring the thing was far from trivial, once I did that I had no further trouble. Softphones are a waste of time and cause en...

Re: Firefly third-party Softphone / G.729 open-source codec

Well, that is interesting. I've got an Eten pocket PC phone which also has wi-fi and can run a SIP client. Theoretically, I could hook it up to my Exetel voip account, but I haven't tried because I didn't think it would work if the ATA is already registered. SJphone is said to be the best softphone ...

nb6plus4w ?? can't connect to web server

Hi guys I just bought a Netcomm NB6Plus4W because it has QoS which my old Netgear wireless router doesn't have. I've got 3 wireless clients, a NAS ethernet hard disk and a Linksys SPA3102 VOIP ATA. I want the QoS so I can prioritise the voip packets. One of the wireless clients is a laptop running a...

Trying to get back to the original question: Does Exetel deliberately block peering? If not, then SipBroker makes it really easy to call anybody. But, as I said, Exetel has a red "x" which means it doesn't work for some reason. The SPA3102 only registers one provider; I believe others can be program...

So you only have to register Oztell in your ATA/modem to receive and call out via all registered VSP? Can you please provide a link to Oztell to show how to do it? They are still "perfecting" their website, etc....... but you can go to their their website at www.net2max.com or check out their forum...

...my understanding is that STD calls are of little value to landline users, as they usually have monthly plans which include so much "air time". So any USA DID would do. Such as from freedigits and ipkall. No, my sister assures me that long calls to Santa Barbara would be quite pricey. The telco s...

"Just give them your Exetel DID number. Or if you want them to have local call cost, obtain a DID in their country/area" My sister lives in Thousand Oaks, California. The nearest free access number I could find is in Santa Barbara, which is in the same area code but is still long-distance for her. S...
