Can we get some basic connection info from you?

Can you let us know:
a) what type of modem you are using?
b) what mode it is set to - eg G.dmt or ADSL2 or ADSL2+
c) what your modem reports for your connection in terms of line attenuation and attainable line rate

Who made you - Exetel?

Did you agree to the move?

That seems strange if it was Exetel unilaterally as it would involve porting you to Optus or Powertel - when they changed your plan/connection did it cost you to move or more to be on the ADSL2+ plan?

Re: Send an SMS via email

is there a way to send an SMS via an email application? You can definitely do this with the Exetel SMS "What is Email to SMS? Email to SMS allows you to create a [alias]@sms.exemail.com.au account and allow any email sent to that address to be forwarded on to a mobile number of your choosing." Log ...

Re: Live stream from ABC-TV unwatchable

The following live stream from ABC-TV is unwatchable. Audio remains OK but the video stops every few seconds and loses sync with the audio. I just tried it - no issues with the video stream but the audio is just a little out of synch with the video I'm on ADSL2+ Optus bundle with around 4mb up and ...

ever so slightly off-topic

I wish some of those trolls on WP who go on and on about there being no support from Exetel would read this thread.....

Sunday night on a NSW holiday weekend and support is still helping out

Thanks Exetel!

I was on the phone to an Optus Wholesale Representative yesterday who advised that the DSLAM firmware upgrade is due to be completed by the end of November. Isn't that what Exetel posted on Thursday? - http://forum.exetel.com.au/viewtopic.php?p=181271#181271 Until the list of upgraded exchanges sta...
