I'd just like to hear people's opinions on this, from personal experience or whatever I'd go with cable if you can - without doubt it will provide a faster speed and more reliable connection Depends to some extent on what you are going to be doing - streaming HD video isn't going to work on wireles...

Martin - thanks - yes and I appreciate the response on a Saturday night but it will be a shame if we have to wait until Optus are ready to provide Exetel a full list of the exchanges that have been upgraded - in the meantime I guess Exetel and Optus staff will have to continue to field support calls...

I've just bought a Netcomm NB6PLUS4W modem/router today and are keen to start using it - I am on the Exetel ADSL2+ service off the (Optus sourced) Dural, NSW exchange. Sounds great - will there be an Off-Peak period from 12mn to 12noon like in other plans when downloads are not counted towards monthly quota? (I guess the "Low Volume" in the title suggests not)
