Re: Reductions In Wireless Broadband Plans

It seems the Change Plan page has been partly corrected. ' Via USB 'Stick' Used In Desktop or Laptop - Data/VoIP Only ' now correctly says ' For Use In Mobile Hand Set Only ', however, in the ' Mobile Service Available ' column it still says ' No '. Is this going to be fixed soonish? It's not reass...

Re: Reductions In Wireless Broadband Plans

WM A is a mobile plan that provides mobile telephony services at the rates stated and data services at the rates stated. But on the 'Change plan' page under the HSPA menu in User Facilities it says 'HSPA PLAN PRICE (Via USB 'Stick' Used In Desktop or Laptop - Data/VoIP Only)' for the 'WM A' plan. I...

That page needs updating to take account of naked ADSL services. The section called "No Dial Tone" will be misleading for a naked service.

Re: Reductions In Wireless Broadband Plans

You can change to WM A plan via HSPA member's facilities. Hmmm... something's odd there. I have older HSPA M1 - HA (for mobile phone+data use) and I've noticed that change of plan option appear this morning. But the change to WM-A says "HSPA PLAN PRICE (Via USB 'Stick' Used In Desktop or Laptop - D...

Is that a technical limitation (i.e., a SIM card for a WM A plan just won't work in a USB modem), or a contractual/T&C agreement?

Re: Reductions In Wireless Broadband Plans

Will the SIM provided for the WM A plan ("For Use In Mobile Hand Set Only") work for data if it is put into a USB modem (presuming Optus network capable)? If so, why consider a $5/m HSPA WI A plan? I know my SIM card for my older HSPA M1 - HA plan works in a Huawai E160E. But it's a nuisance to swap...

Re: Transfer Your Current PSTN Home Number To Exetel VoIP

So you are not aware of any method to "split" the number from the primary service without losing "control" of it? I would have thought "it's just a number"! - Sure there's a way, get the secodary numbers put on different copper lines(and thus becoming a primary number). Very expensive solution as y...

Re: Transfer Your Current PSTN Home Number To Exetel VoIP

Will that include the ability to transfer a "multiple number" (i.e, non-primary PSTN number) to the fax2email service? No - this facility is strictly for primary numbers on a telephone copper network(with the supported carriers). Mulitple numbers are part of the complex service regime Telstra like ...

Re: Exetel International VoIP Pack & Enhanced VoIP Features

oblong. it appears that Verizon (Exetel's VOIP provider) is a US based company and that this option violates some US laws. As a result this option has been withdrawn for the mo whilst it is being worked out? I thought that was the reason given some time ago before the announcement that masking was ...

Re: Exetel International VoIP Pack & Enhanced VoIP Features

I was pleased to receive the Exetel e-mail back on 30th July saying "Caller ID masking" is available. But I can't see anything about it in my member's facility. Now I see suggestions in this forum saying the facility is not (or no longer?) available. What's the real story? I was planning to make mor...

Re: Transfer Your Current PSTN Home Number To Exetel VoIP

While VoIP over HSPA is not ideal in fringe areas, I for one would like to be able to port a Telstra landline number to the VoIP on my Exetel HSPA service. Pretty please? Kevin And I'd like to port a Telstra number (currently a "multiple number" on a primary service) over to Exetel for use with fax...
