Re: Fring/NimBuzz Replacement

I haven't looked at this app yet but most often on phones they are set to show the characters for a second or so before they go to an asterisk, just gives you enough time to see that you have the right character Yes, the Samsung i560 does that too. It's just a bit disconcerting to not be able to se...

Re: Fring/NimBuzz Replacement

Another Samsung SGH-i560 here. It took several tries, including an uninstall/reinstall and numerous entries of the password, but it finally registered. Not sure what, if anything, I did differently to make it work. Suggestion: have an option to actually be able to see the password characters, rather...

Re: Naked ADSL2 on Powertel anytime soon? How about VoIP LNP?

Back in May, 2008... iiNet offer to transfer your PSTN number to VoIP when you sign up with them - so it must be possible. It's definitely possible - we just haven't found a way of doing it automatically and easily. it's undoubtedly our short coming but we will try and find a way of doing it. Any up...

Re: Telephone Conference Room From Exetel

We will add room creation function in the member's facilities, so that you can create your own room. That makes more se...

Re: Telephone Conference Room From Exetel

Exetel recently developed a new function for the VoIP service: Conference Call Room. This provides you with a function to have a meeting or chat over the telephone with multiple people and will become a standard part of Exetel's VOIP offering. Ok, I'll show my ignorance! Who can use this? Only peop...

Re: Want low-end plans

I think that the new IncPhoneZ plan at $55.00 a month (zero activation fee) is the lowest cost ADSL2 plan in Australia. Even though it's bundled, it's very attractive. But I'm puzzled as to why that plan says (when you go to "order" to check number availability), "If you have a medical condition wh...

I'd like to see something like the old RX 2U (renamed to ANYPHONE A??) unbundled ADSL2 plans come back. I'm not particularly keen on bundling.

My vote is for Exetel to stick to providing Internet services. If they want to contribute to some charity of their choosing, after setting their prices competitively, then that's their business. At the most, provide some links somewhere on the site so that people can chose to donate independently if...
