Re: Yahoo Go, Opera Mobile. Do They work on Per Min Plans

I've not tried Yahoo Go or Opera Mobile but if your only issue is data download, that works on the regular Mobile x plans too. Casual data price of $0.07 / MB is very reasonable for low usage, but do the math based on how much data you think you'll use.

Re: Fring/NimBuzz Replacement

Just confirming the latest changes working for me on 6121c. I think the Red button behaviour (send the app to the background) is appropriate, leaving it ready to receive calls. This is in line with other similar programs. One question: what codec is it using? Or is that dependent on the native SIP c...

Re: Nimbuzz VoIP over HSPA/mobile

Those settings work for me on Nimbuzz - perhaps check them again. Remember it's the 10 digit VoIP dial-in number that you need (not your mobile number), along with the password that came with it in the VoIP activation email. Re. the lag, in my earlier testing a month or two back I found Fring the wo...

Re: Fring/NimBuzz Replacement

1) Incoming calls - It does not ring at all. Solved Check. 2) Entering the VOIP password the first time doesn't save(Still display None) - re-entering and re-saving then works. Solved. Check. 3) Test calls - quality excellent, but still considerable lag. We will reduce the lag when we get the publi...

Re: Fring/NimBuzz Replacement

This is a symbian application and will be working on symbian s60 platform fp1 and fp2 phones. (Nokia) For anyone else wondering whether their phone is FP1, 2 or neither: http://dailymobile.se/forum/nokia/summary-of-all-nokia-symbian-s60-phones-list/ So FP1 and 2 would cover the more recent Nokias, ...

Re: Fring/NimBuzz Replacement

Great start - well done! Installed ok on both 6121c and N80IE Minor niggle: after I set the username and password, the password display still said "None". Clicked "Done" and it registered ok, so it was set - only the display was unchanged. Going back into settings correctly shows the password as ***...

Re: New hope for Nokia native SIP client

If I understand that thread right, the advanced settings sis can be used to restore the missing VoIP functionality on N79 and N85 - better than nothing but still no help for N96, N78 or 6xxx owners. Hopefully once Symbian goes open source the situation may improve. Meanwhile there's the commercial U...

Re: Fring/NimBuzz Replacement

Great news, thanks! When it's done, have you thought about marketing it outside of Exetel users? I could see it working either as a commercial app or as a free release - giving other users the chance to try it for nothing via their own networks (and watch Optus squirm!) 8) The built-in Nokia SIP cli...

Re: ExeSMS application for Mobiles

David, thanks for the app. You can add Nokia 6121 to the compatibility list - works exactly as described. :)
