Re: Quality of Exetel phone line rental and support

Haven't had any issues with our Exetel supplied PSTN line here at home, always working and very reliable :)

I can access those three IP addresses by RDP (3389) and all three websites you listed fine on my Exetel ADSL2 QLD connection.

Re: Hosted email on iphone

You need to change the type from IMAP to POP, normally at the top of the screen when you're adding the account for the first time :)

Re: APN for Exetel mobile services using the Optus network

Thanks guys - I did already know about the unlock site (Apple also have some software which you can add another profile also). I just thought it'd be easier to contact Exetel for confirmation that I'm using YesINTERNET instead of having to install anything on my phone? Surely they could tell me? Yo...

Re: APN for Exetel mobile services using the Optus network

To change your APN on an iPhone device, open Safari, browse to http://www.unlockit.co.nz/ and follow the prompts to generate a new APN profile.

In the APN, use one of the network names described in the OP and then download and apply to your iPhone.

Re: Where are the links to....

Hi Gordon, Agents around Australia can be found under Residential > On Site Services (a little ambiguous, I know) or at http://www.exetel.com.au/agents_search.php. You can also request your local agent's information from Exetel by contacting them directly. It doesn't seem that there are pre-paid wir...

Re: Re:Queensland Flooding Status

We've just lost our connectivity here in Eastern Brisbane, as I can see NetworkAdmin has reported in the relevant forum. I'm working off my Optus CAP with a tethered iPhone, so not everything is lost yet. I thank Exetel for their continued updates in regards to the situation in Queensland at this ti...

Re: QLD drop outs

I'd have to agree with the OP... December (and even November) has been one for unplanned drop-outs to ADSL2 connections. Here is the info from my logs: uptime1.JPG uptime2.JPG Normally our connection is very stable, and always online, and I do understand some of these may be in fact "planned" mainte...

Re: SMS overseas

Are you sure you are dialling the correct number on the mobile? You might want to check this. The prefix I believe is +63 for Philippines.

I am unaware of any international barring on mobiles, but if it persists, you may need to check with Exetel.

Re: New Phone Now No Mobile Internet

Yesterday I purchased a new LG Optimus 1 (LG-P500) to replace my old Motorola V9 (Motorazor2 V9), put in the sim, happily made my first call and then discovered I had no web access, at all. I was only ever able to use the browser on the V9, any of the java apps returned a no network message or no d...

Re: Tracking usage on OPTUS cap plans

In my case, I don't rely on it at all.

All possible meters to do with my mobile service show 0MB/1000MB, yet I know that I've downloaded 24.6MB per my iPhone meter.

Re: Tracking usage on OPTUS cap plans

The data usage meter hasn't been fixed yet, so it's impossible to view your data usage. iPhone's offer an intelligent meter which shows data throughput on 3G, although this needs to be reset at the beginning of each month. It would also be beneficial for the voice meter to be updated more regularly,...

I'm getting these emails too, not to my *@exemail.com.au addresses, but my externally hosted domain name email addresses.
