The only thing I can think that is different is the locking of the iPhone. My iPhone is completely unlocked, is yours locked to Optus?

Re: New CAP (Optus) data usage page

I'd also like to know where to view the usage for the mobile (calls, text, etc) - I can't seem to find it in the HSPA Services Area.

Re: APN for new CAP Plans

Hi all, Just ported across from Exetel Vodafone to Exetel Optus on one of the new cap plans. Process was very good, and the activation took about a day. I'd like to confirm that tethering on my iPhone 3GS works on the new Exetel Optus SIM, with no changes to the APN being required at all (see below)...

Re: confused

Applying for an Exetel Optus Mobile service signs you up under a "HSPA" service, but the only difference is that the "HSPA" service is not really a HSPA service - it's a mobile service.

Personally, I think this should be changed to avoid confusion.

Re: Micro SIMs

I had to convert one of my SIM cards into a Micro SIM - just bought this tool off eBay and it was easily done.

If one of the Exetel Voice staff do not reply, you can always try emailing voice@exetel.com.au with your query.

Re: Contract Period

A change of plan does not incur a contract renewal, only infrastructure changes do, for example changing from ADSL1 Telstra to ADSL2 Optus.

Re: Internet connection down in Charlestown NSW

Is there any chance someone can update the Network Status page? Normally this is where I first look, but it is rarely, or never updated to even be used as a primary source of maintenance/downtime information. Shouldn't updating this be one of the first steps the engineers take once a fault has been ...

Re: ExeSMS app for iPad/iPhone?

Thanks James. I wasn't aware of the MoIP app but I installed it and it works quite well. I signed up for a VoIP service and can now make outgoing phone calls from the iPad as well as send SMS's. No worries Paul. The MoIP app is extremely useful, and I'm glad you're happy with it too. All the best.

Re: Please Use This Thread To Advise Exetel Of Typos/Errors

The login page for using the forum mentions the following:
If you are an Exetel user then you can use your current user name and password to access the blog.
This needs to be changed to 'forum'.

Re: ExeSMS app for iPad/iPhone?

Do any of the developers at Exetel have any plans of developing an ExeSMS app for iPad or iPhone? I'd happily pay for an app that allowed my to send SMS's from my iPad, & from what I've seen on other forums, so would lots of other iPad users. As far as I'm aware, you could be the first or only Aust...

The page where you can configure email addresses allowed to send faxes via email is missing from the "Fax" page.

Re: Testing Required for the New Members

The Support tab has two links which both say VoIP - the top one is VoIP Support and the bottom one is about VoIP Setup.

Could this be adjusted? It is a bit confusing.

Thanks.
