Re: Filter Nuisance Calls

You would be able to find instructions if you scroll all the way down in the page : http://exewiki.exetel.com.au/index.php?title=VoIP_Features Thanks angelos I had a look at that before and saw that it costs $1/mth. Also I was unsure of what to enter in that field. It says to enter the numbers that...

Re: Filter Nuisance Calls

Thanks Dazzled. Yeah I can get them to hang up easily enough just by asking a few questions but it's the interruption that annoys me the most. Especially when I'm busy. Lately I've been getting calls that just have a recorded message talking about me being a Virgin Air customer eligible for rewards....

Filter Nuisance Calls

I'm getting a lot of calls advising me that "my computer has a virus" lately. They all come from private numbers.

Is there a way to add a filter that directs all private numbers to voicemail? Or can a filter be set up to direct all calls from India to voicemail?

Re: VoIP Ring 2 Devices Simultaneously

Yes I am aware that it is possible in an PBX or a VPBX environment. But that's not what I want. As I mentioned this function is available on other services.

Anyhow I found the suggestion box and will ask there.

Re: VoIP Ring 2 Devices Simultaneously

The way I read the quote I sent you is that you can have 2 different usernames for the same account/DID. Not 2 separate accounts/phone numbers.

Anyhow can this feature be suggested to Exetel for consideration?

Re: VoIP Ring 2 Devices Simultaneously

That's a shame. It is possible on other services such as "CallWithUs" where I found the following info Q. I have 2 SIP clients connected to your server, is it possible to get both devices ring when my DID is called? A. Yes. Assuming your devices have usernames 111111111 and 222222222, set the DID de...

VoIP Ring 2 Devices Simultaneously

I have my service set up on my home modem and on my mobile phone and outgoing calls work fine on both devices. Incoming calls work fine but they only ring on my phone connected to the modem.

Is it possible to have incoming calls ring on both devices?

Re: Optus Out Of Contract Customers

I think the plan change charges will be removed in due course.
Thanks Admin. The charges disappeared last night. I also don't understand why the contracts are being put in place but I do still support Exetel.

I've just signed up for another 12 months.

Re: Optus Out Of Contract Customers

The offer at the moment is to simply re-contract your current Optus plan for a further twelve months. No fees are applicable. Maybe I should rephrase the question. The current offer is to re-contract our existing plan for 12 months. But if I'm going to go onto a 12 month contract I may as well chan...

Re: Optus Out Of Contract Customers

OK I get it. We all have to go to new 12 month contracts regardless of how long we have been with Exetel. I notice that you have written here that there is no "change of plan" fees involved. Does that mean no line activation fee? If it doesn't then I noted that last month there was no line activatio...

Re: Mobile Web SMS

we do this as a security measure Fair enough. Are there any desktop apps then that I can use with my Exetel account? What I'm hoping to find is a way of sending SMS's from the desktop without entering passwords after the app has been set up. Like the way that I use an SMS app on my android and once...

Mobile Web SMS

I'm taking my laptop to various locations and using different networks/ip addresses.

Whenever I go to send an SMS from a different network I'm asked for an additional password.

Is there any way I can have this additional password request turned off?
