Re: Porting PSTN to VOIP

Ok now that's sorted re the adapter V210P that is not able to carry two VOIP accounts. I still have some questions that have been unanswered by billing and other staff members. I will start with this one as it may answer other questions I have: 1. Why is my ported PSTN to VOIP account listed as "Bus...

Re: Porting PSTN to VOIP

Yes I have 2 VOIP numbers. The first being my ported Telstra number. The second being the original VOIP number as it is a Sydney number and my contacts in Sydney can still call me for a local call. We live outside Sydney. So the configuration of the ATA shouldn't change and I should keep the setting...

Re: ADSL Referral Bonus

Thanks for that information. However, the majority of people living in the Kiama Downs/Minnamurra area that I know have NBN ready homes and are with another ISP I couldn't imagine them wanting to change for ADSL2 but I will keep it in mind. The local community are interested in NBN fibre and ask tho...

Re: What Modem/Router Do I Need For A Fibre Service?

To Jokin if your available. You gave me some advice back on Jul 26. The fibre has been connected now & I was lucky that a neighbour loaned me a Netcomm 803n to get started. I realise this is not the router that Exetel recommended however I am getting speeds of up to 65mbps from it. Its given me time...

Re: Fibre FAQ

With regards to our VOIP service and the fibre, do you know how long before we can use the ONT UNI V1 and UNI V2? months or years?

Re: What Modem/Router Do I Need For A Fibre Service?

I have to purchase a new router in order to network my home computers and use VOIP. The router that Exetel is recommending Netcomm (N300 or NP804n) is not suitable as it doesn't have VOIP. What I find interesting is that NBN trial is being offered to me in Kiama Downs & Exetel have sent a second ema...

Re: new fibre service

I too am in the Kiama Downs/Minnamurra area. This week I received a letter from Telstra (probs because I still have landline)asking me to register to express my interest for my chance to join in the trial. Whilst I wouldn't go with them anyway, they are offering and I quote: "if I am chosen to parti...

New Superfast National Broadband Network

We are supposedly one of the lucky suburbs to be receiving the Superfast National Broadband Network. We live in Minnamurra/Kiama Downs NSW & the Community Information Session is to be held this Saturday 29th May in our local hall. The brochure mentions improvement in doing business, great for downlo...

Re: Virus/Spam Protection From Exetel

Hi I took up exetel's virus/spam protection from Exetel in April. All was going well until I realised that the emails from Exetel were being dumped into my deleted box . Please make a suggestion. Exetel can provide the best possible Virus/Spam filtering currently available for a charge of $2.00 per ...
