Re: Change ADSL2+ Plan

The plans ABA, ABB, ABC and ABD are only available to new users. But the December Customer Newsletter said: Changing Plan Charges Recently Exetel has introduced a range of much lower cost plans. These plans have become available to Exetel's current customers as of December 1st 2010. There is a $40....

Re: Change ADSL2+ Plan

I was under the impression from Exetel's December newsletter that the new ADSL2 plans would be available to current users. The user area is only offering my AAA, AAB, AAC and AAD, and not the new ABA, ABB, ABC and ABD plans. Are these going to be available through the users' area would I need to con...

Re: Is my 8mbit adsl service already on adsl2?

When this happened to me, one sign was the options available in my user area for a plan change. They were all ADSL2 plans. If your plan change options are only ADSL2, you're probably already on ADSL2.

Prepaid - T&C

Hi there.

I'm interested in the Terms and Conditions for Prepaid HSPA. I can only find a link for post-pay. Does anyone have a link or can they be put on the website?

Also while I'm at it, how long does a prepaid HSPA SIM remain active after the last recharge has lapsed?

Thanks

Re: Website Confusion

There are 2 distinct plan types. a) Per minute plans and b) Capped plans. The conditions for each are ONLY on the particular plan type tab. The 50 free Exetel to Exetel 2 minute calls and 50 Free Exetel to Exetel SMS ONLY apply to the Per minute plans. They are valid only to any other Exetel mobile...

Re: Website Confusion

They are from Optus as the main heading states: Exetel Residential Mobile Services via the Optus network (14/10/10) Yes, but before you updated it, the "Per minute" plans site talked had the "no free calls...from Exetel Vodafone supplied mobiles", was in the same pland and had a similar look to the...

Re: Website Confusion

I think I realise my confusion now. Can someone confirm whether the "Per Minute Plans" listed at http://www.exetel.com.au/residential-mobile-cap-plans.php (like Mobile A) are provided by Optus or Vodafone? If by Vodafone, my previous confusion applies. If by Optus, I think I no\w understand. Those "...

Re: Website Confusion

I've taken my part off line to a PM (though I'm not entirely sure how they work and it seems to be sitting in my outbox at the moment). My original post wasn't a "complaint" (as australiana puts it) but simply to notify of issues. I think there are outstanding issues but that is outlined in the PM. ...

Website Confusion

I'm concerned the information given for mobile services on the exetel website is confusing. There are a number of issues that mean the website is not very clear. Firstly, navigating through menus to http://exetel.com.au/residential-mobile-overview.php only gives a choices on the left for "Mobile Pla...

Re: Off-Peak time reduction-This is a joke

Paying to switch accross to a 'Unlimited' 12am-12pm plan and then the next month it being taken off you isn't fair. File a complaint with the TIO. The more people that do, the more the TIO are likely to do something. (not to mention each complaint will hit the hip pocket of these greddy and incompe...

Re: Off-Peak time reduction-This is a joke

... What I have noticed recently is that the 12Gb peak limit is rather limiting in this day and age of data transfer. For the last few months I have barely d/l anything at all peak or off peak. My wife, who is not so computer savvy just uses internet as she will. She only uses Facebook, ebay, Yahoo...

Re: Off-Peak time reduction-This is a joke

This move seems to indicate that a particular group of users were costing Exetel more than their plans were worth. A business needs to protect its existence and for most customers, it is also in their interests for the business to take those steps necessary to be viable in the longer term. At a gues...

Re: Major Changes To 'No Frills' Plans

Thanks Exetel. These plans are excellent. As someone who does little downloading but wants the low latency of ADSL (HSPA not an option), I'm happy to have an option that does not include a massive off peak download that I don't use.

Re: Major Changes To 'No Frills' Plans

Hi.

If I'm out of contract, is it possible to change to one of these "No Frills" plans from an equivalent "added value" plan?

"Can", but in my case, wasn't. So I'm on Home Line Budget and Exetel have "upgraded" me.
