Re: HSPA Signup Question

It would be better to apply for a data only service and use the exetel VOIP service to make calls via your PC using a SIP client such as X-lite.

I am not sure of a program out there which allows you to do this but it would be a lot more expensive compared to using the exetel VOIP service

Re: difference between mobile plan and HSPA plan

They are HSDPA speeds… everything with access to the network will operate at the maximum theoretical speed which is 3.6Mbps given the appropriate HSDPA device is used

Re: difference between mobile plan and HSPA plan

If you are on the exetel per minute plan you can switch to the capped plan and vice versa and there is no charge to change between the mobile per minute and capped plans. All plan change request does not come into effect until the 1st of the following month.

Re: iPhone HSPA connection help

The port had failed through the automation process but was processed and activated manually later that day. A manual reset (removing sim card and battery from the phone for approx 5 minutes) is required if you are still not cable to make/receive calls.

Re: HSPA C3 with iPhone... Is it supposed to work?

If you have managed to set the APN to exetel1 on your iphone then you should be able to use your iphone for data/voip. You will also need to remove the username & password as this is not required to connect.

Re: Changing ADSL 2 Plan

If you are on a PTL plan you change to another PTL plan and doing this does not reset the contract period.

Optus only offer ULL services, which means the copper line needs to be transferred over to exetel

Re: Porting from Exetel to Exetel

When porting out from an HSPA service just select pre-paid and enter in your date of birth when ordering the per-minute or mobile capped plans.
