Re: Telstra ADSL2 And New Telstra 8192 ADSL Peak/Off Peak Ch

I had usage meter problems the first night with the new speeds too, so last night I set my scheduler to start at 4am, had no problems this morning, all the download was shown as offpeak.
So, until Sept 1st I'm doing overnight offpeak downloading between 4am - 8am only, just to be sure...

Re: ADSL2+ on Telstra Exchanges

So, now I'll wait until Sept 1st to see what plan I'm on, and then maybe I'll know what's happened... You connection has been updated to a adsl2 profile. You are sinking higher than 384Kbs for the upload part so you are on ADSL2. As telstra cap all adsl1 8mbit connections to 384. You modem is ADSL1...

Re: ADSL2+ on Telstra Exchanges

I have these test results http://www.speedtest.net/result/921187048.png your upload suggests your on ADSL2, sync as reported by your modem would confirm if that's the case, check your user manual if you're not sure where to look Looked through the manual and can't find even a mention of sync speed ...

Re: ADSL2+ on Telstra Exchanges

However, my real confusion is why I have a faster connection after getting the email that I couldn't, due to an incompatible speed technical issue. I'm not sure, with some ISP's using Tesltra if you don't pass the test to qualify for ADSL2 they put you on an 8000/384 connection, not sure if this is...

Re: ADSL2+ on Telstra Exchanges

So then I logged in to the members area and it still says I'm on the 1500D plan, so, I'm confused as to what has happened??? not sure your account details would get updated before the new month due to billing cycles, even if your speed change has gone through already Had forgotten about that.. Howe...

Re: ADSL2+ on Telstra Exchanges

Any idea what the manual checks were? and why they could be the cause of a rejection? Missing cable data records. So, when their staff do investigate, they could find a reason you could not have ADSL2+, or, they might find you can :). Just got this email.... "Your ADSL speed upgrade is failed due t...

Re: ADSL2+ on Telstra Exchanges

I'm still waiting too, but how will I know that it's gone through to do the router reboot...? It should go through tomorrow, bearing in mind your service was the target of manual checks by the supplier - so could easily get rejected. Any idea what the manual checks were? and why they could be the c...

Automated process did it's job, your port needs to be changed, 19/08, 8am - 12pm.
So if any of us don't have ADSL2 by 12pm on the 19th there could be some other problem?

Re: ADSL2+ on Telstra Exchanges

But I thought no changes happened until the first of the next month...? That has been the case from March 2004 up until today. For TW ADSL1 to TW ADSL2 it is now one working day. For all other services it remains at 1st of the month following the change plan submission. So we will be switched over ...
