Re: ADSL2+ on Telstra Exchanges

So even if it's capped at 8mb, I'll be getting a lot faster speed than I am now for $10 less, still sounds ok to me... :) Yeah and if you sync at less than 8132 kbps then there is no need to upgrade the modem either. Unless the increased upload sync would be of benefit. SO hook it up and if you're ...

Re: ADSL2+ on Telstra Exchanges

I've looked at this carefully and changing from my 1500D plan to the new TE-2E plan will give me more speed for $10 less, it's plain common sense to me. However I have one last question that needs an answer, is my modem ok to do this? is it ADSL2 capable? I have a D-Link DSL-302G - anyone know? D-L...

Re: ADSL2+ on Telstra Exchanges

Changing from ADSL1 to ADSL2 will only require me to turn my router off for a while when the time comes?
No re-configuring or anything else?

that is within the scope of what Telstra allow but they don't promote the fact that you can do it
I've always thought that was specifically 'not' allowed!

Re: ADSL2+ on Telstra Exchanges

So if the new Telstra ADSL2 plans appear as an option in my members area, that mean it IS definitely available from whatever exchange I'm on? no matter where I am? No, Telstra still have the ability to reject an application for various reasons, including the technical limitations of the ADSL2+ prod...

Re: 1500D Plan question

I have just changed to the 1500D plan, in my members area it shows the following. What does N/A mean? And what does changing the excess download option mean? change from what? to what? N/A means you are shaped when you hit your quota (ie, there is currently no excess charge applied to your plan). C...

Re: Testing Required for the New Members

Had a look around and couldn't find a couple of things, like my 'change of service' page. I have found the easiest way to use the new members section is to click on the 'site map' and everything is there, in alphabetical order, and all the options are easier to get to with only one click, instead of...

Re: 1.5 mbps Plans?

(I asked this in another thread, but didn't know about this thread then)

Just had a look at the new plans on
http://www.exetel.com.au/a_plan_pricing_new.php

Very tempting, but can Exetel afford to offer these?
If I change to the 1500D plan would I really be an economically viable customer?

Re: VoIP Numbers: Are They Listed or Unlisted by Default?

Maybe you just need to register your number on the do not call register. ( I would assume voip numbers to be applicable ) https://www.donotcall.gov.au/ I used that with my pstn & mobile numbers & although it seemed to take a couple of months for the nuisance calls to stop, it eventually worked. I g...
