Re: "No charge" download limit

There's no hard limit for any plans. So be aware there is no "safe limit". It is just my opinion of a guideline limit and it will change because of the different off-peak times and durations. If I were a heavy downloader, I'd aim to restrict myself to the equivalent of about 7.5GB per hour of off-p...

Re: "No charge" download limit

What are the plans with the 'no charge' structure? Current OT, ON and AA plans Will they be available in my members section to change to? I want to escape the 'unlimited' plan I'm on, we all know it's not truly unlimited! and we don't know where the boundaries are! They should be available. If they...

Re: "No charge" download limit

I can only assume the new "No Charge" is the same as the old charge and reasonable use is considered to be 3xaverage usage so around 85GB? Is that correct? Because I know I am not on unlimited offpeak and don't treat it as such. I think this is a prudent and reasonable assumption. Not sure what I c...

Thanks for the reply again Corey, I will stick to my 60Gb peak limit, and my self imposed 60Gb offpeak limit while I am on the FP-C3

Re: Questions: Changing Plans

I have a memory of seeing somewhere that the max acceptable in the 2am-8am period was 50% of your quota, now I can't seem to find it again... You might be confusing this for the shaping buffer. The 2am-8am has no nominated limit. If you elect the shaping option, and use up more than 50% of your quo...

Re: Questions: Changing Plans

Can't seem to find the Acceptable Usage page right now got a link? http://exetel.com.au/a_acceptable_use_adsl2.php, though with the removal of "off-peak" the AUP mainly concentrates on non-quota aspects of usage. Terms and Conditions (current ones available from, say, https://www.exetel.com.au/form...

Re: Questions: Changing Plans

No "off-peak". Instead you get a 2am-8am "unmetered" period which is largely equivalent to your INCPHONE offpeak, but shorter. The same sort of Acceptable Usage applies, so don't go overboard with unmetered downloads (though I think keeping to 60GB/month like for INCPHONE would be quite acceptable ...

Re: New Members Facilties Is Up

Not everyone is going to read this forum to find the link to the old site. There is a very big message when you log on telling you that you how you can go to the old version. After seeing that I feel much happier to leave everything. Good luck Shady. And I hope the old version stays online for us t...

I'm on 8mbit 30GB peak, unlimited off peak.
That's ok by me, at least we know where we stand with the soft limit on uncharged.
Please keep it!!!

Re: Advertised Shaping Limitations Oversight?

Also, on the ADSL1 plan pages for new users it says + The standard setting is shaped. Shaped means that you are allowed to continue downloading at a slowed speed up to a level of 50% of your plan’s included downloads. After reaching that limit your access is blocked until midnight on the first day o...
