Due to a replacement in our supplier's server hardware, Our Unwired Service will experience a small interruption between the hours of 15:00 and 19:00 this evening, Thursday 6th March 2008.


This disruption will not extend beyond five minutes.

A test for Peerapp Caching P2P traffic was carried out from midnight on 23rd Feb to around 1 am on 24th Feb.

Any abnormal speed during that period is due to that test.

A static route pointing to Null0 with too specific mask was on the Border router which poisoned the traffic back to Mel Pop customer.

This issue has been resolved.

For www.theage.com.au use tcptraceroute to port 80 and you will see that the site can be reached. Firewalls generally block ICMP traceroute and ping packets. It was due to switchport duplex dismatch error between EXETEL and Pipe.

Last night one of the switch port connected to Optus went down, and the outbound traffic goes via Optus was dramatically dropped.


We have fixed the problem and will set the highest priority for gaming traffic
