Re: False Excess Spend Message and Mobile Blocked UGH!

Pm sent. The service still seems to be working though, possibly because it was ported away yesterday. It is CRITICAL that nothing happens to it today as my daughter will be going to hospital for surgery and my wife needs this phone to be working.

Re: False Excess Spend Message and Mobile Blocked UGH!

I just got a 229% over excess notification! And the kicker is this service was ported away from Exetel today... so I'm really hoping there isn't going to be some crazy excess charge put on this service.

Another one... under the mobile "Spend Management" at the bottom The Spend Threshold and Notification Controls, provide you the security and confidence that you will not be subject to large unexpected excess usage bills, and ensure that you the freedom to manage how you receive your usage notificati...

Re: Report Broken Links/Failed Web Functions Here

If I go to member services->services and usage->Manage (a mobile plan)->change plan It show the last three months data usage in a summary but has June usage as 0MB for all of my mobile plans If I go to the Usage of those mobile and look at "last month" it shows the correct usage. It appears to be co...

Any new mobile plans on the horizon?

Having recently had my Z15 plan bumped up to a $30 plan, I started looking at some alternatives. Before I switch though I just wanted to check if Exetel had new plans on the way as the value on the current ones seems incredibly uncompetitive e.g. Vaya - $18/month, $650 with 1.5GB on Optus 4G Exetel ...

Re: Spend Threshold Setup

(Pretty sure you can just disable the threshold entirely if it's a problem for you) Anyway, I'd like to +1 having a lower option again. My daughter just blew through the cap with data usage and was already $60 in excess charges before the message about reaching the 100% quota even arrived. By the ti...

Re: Please Use This Thread To Advise Exetel Of Typos/Errors

Greetings, My daughter recently blew through that excess usage limit on her mobile phone so I had to pay the $100 to "unblock" the service. When I got the confirmation message for the payment it is missing a detail in the message Thank you for your Interim Billing Payment. The payment has been succe...

Re: Forced to change plans, but no new SIM?

Cool, so even though it was a 3G service before, the plan change is all that's needed to make it 4G.

Good to know. Thanks.

Re: Port scans from 220.233.2.208

I'm not worried about them getting in, I'm running enterprise-grade kit at home (no, I'm not complacent about that). I thought it might have finished when it got to the end of the 65k ports, but it appears to have cycled around and started again. Normally I wouldn't care or even notice, but I just h...

Forced to change plans, but no new SIM?

Like many others, my Z15 plan was forced to one of the newer ones. I assume the new one is now a 4G plan. Should I have received a new SIM, or will my existing one automatically work for 4G when I get a new phone for it? I noticed there is a "SIM Swap" option in the service management, but it states...

Port scans from 220.233.2.208

I'm seeing a lot of bad connection attempts coming from 220.233.2.208. Looking at the ports it would appear to be a full port scan is happening.

Is this an Exetel customer IP or some internal Exetel system? It just resolves as a "static" address, so I suspect a customer machine.

Re: Incoming voip not connecting

Perhaps never mind. I tried restarting the adapter and resaving the config and restarting with no luck. In the end I just unplugged it for 15 minutes and after plugging back in again it seems to be working. The last time that happened was after there had been some VoIP work down on the Exetel servic...

Incoming voip not connecting

Greetings, A strange thing has started happening (today as far as we know). When we receive calls on our voip number, our home handset will ring, but when you answer it there's no connection, just silence. When I call the voip number (using my mobile), it just keeps ringing even after someone has pi...

Re: Definitive ADSL modem settings

Thanks Dazzled... what about LLC? Sometimes I've seen it mentioned to have enabled, but off is usually the default on modems, and the LLC setting is typically buried in an "advanced" settings page (if the modem has it at all).

It's probably for the best anyway.
