Re: Major Changes To 'No Frills' Plans

I am now using your INC2DSLA plan; your new NF plan is very attractive as I didn’t use that much data. But I do use VOIP for international calls. My questions are 1. If I switch to NF, how about my current VOIP DID number? 2. If I lost my DID, could I still use Exetel VOIP for outgoing calls? 3. If...

New mobile carrier

Any idea when you will have Optus as the mobile carrier for Exetel?
Would the cost and conditions same as what the current plan that uses Vodafone (i.e., call charges as well as free calls between two Exetel mobile accounts)?

NF dsl2 question

My current plan is an old 12G ADSL2+ bundle plan and has a VOIP DID number- mainly for international calls.

If I switch to NF/DSL2(Full), could I still keep the number?
Would there be extra charges to keep the DID?

How to get money back from Telstra

I switch from Telstra to Exetel 2+ bundle a while ago, and still have around $10 credit on the old telstra account, any idea how to get it back from Telstra? How long would it take?

I have no need to call the US nor Japan, so I'll use 711A.

Could you tell me what other setting are?

Re: Need some help to improve VOIP quality

The other end is standard PSTN number, there is one computer on but not using the internet. I always check my machines first if there is problem and there is no P2P runing ( I do not allow them to use any P2P), all antiirvirus is runing and firewall is working. No virus nor melware found. I check al...

Re: Practical alternatives for managing off-peak and congestion

To use up the under utilized BW, why not create a plan that have only 1-2 G peak quota, and with a special off peak-time (3-9am), or multiple off-peak time periods. You can introduce the plan when needed and only accept say 200 applications at a time, first come first serve. This way, you can monito...

Re: Practical alternatives for managing off-peak and congestion

Another way to deal with this problem is going back to something like “FAIR PLAY”. For all users, the standard off peak time should be 2-12(or 2-2). They do have an option to move the off peak time to 12-12, but by doing so, they would be moved to a group that have limited BW allocated. If they want...

Re: Practical alternatives for managing off-peak and congestion

given that the peak really doesn't last that long I wonder if given the choice if those 1000 problem users would exchange their 60GB of off peak quota over 10 hours for 120GB but only available for 5 hours, say from 2am to 7am or some other similar dead window of bandwidth and just shift all the le...

Re: Need some help to improve VOIP quality

I don't mind the higher BW usage. So the best quality should be 711A or 711U, is this correct? Should I keep the 20ms packet time? would shorter/longer be better? What other settings would cause that voice chopping problem? ( I notice this also happened last night when I am using for international c...

Re: Need some help to improve VOIP quality

I think I had the port forwarding in place already. And I had been using engin, mnf, pennytel and exetel for VOIP. My problem is to make it as close to PSTN as possible. I was wondering if that is a handset issue but I have no problem using for international call . the chopping happens sometimes, bu...
