Re: Possible New ADSL2 Plans For New Financial Year

In regard to what CoreyPlover is proposing - I think it's getting too complex to be able to sell easily. I also don't like the idea of splitting the allowances into so many windows or the proposed trade offs. Id' much rather have a 12 hour window to get the bulk of my data than have to handle four w...

Re: Possible New ADSL2 Plans For New Financial Year

I moved from iiNet Phone with iiNet ADSL2+ at St. Leonards exchange to iiNet Phone + Exetel ADSL2+ at Northbridge Exchange. I would have liked to switch my phone to Exetel as well, but apparently Optus only service our area with cable and don't have a DSLAM at Northbridge. I must say that even thoug...

Re: New Customer Diagnostic 'Tools'

Thumbs up for making this facility available. Obviously there are still some teething problems, but I am sure they will get ironed out over time. Here are some of my observations: 1) The "blocks" that hold the individual test results are too small for their contents. This is particularly noticeable ...

I would like to see a system that has the least potential for interfering with unattended installations or unexpected results. To that extent I would propose this: Users get to choose whether they want the default to be pay-for-excess or shape-for-excess. (Same as original option 1) A user should ha...

Exetel's IPs are actually dynamic, but they remember which IP goes with which login so it effectively mimics a static IP. You can reassigned yourself a new "dynamic static" IP in the user facilities and you can do this 20 (or maybe 30) times without charge. Which is a very good setup that I would n...

In the previous incarnation of this thread, one user suggested making dynamic IP the default and static IP an option. I'd like to voice a very strong objection to this. If static IP was not the default, I would have probably not considered or joined Exetel. There are many, many reasons why a static ...

Would it be possible to have traffic from Exetel servers, such as mirror, not counted in the usage?

Thank You!

Both equipment required and equipment-less point here for the order link: https://www.exetel.com.au/members/voip_order_form.php?link=link08 - that page has no option for zero minimum cost or buying without DID It should say that now. Thank You. The new VoIP option is what I was after, so I signed u...

Re: No minimum spend dial out only VoIP

I would like to see a VoIP option introduced that has no DID number and no minimum spend, so that you only pay for outgoing calls. That option is already available to all customers. Perhaps I am not looking in the right place, or I have not expressed myself clearly, but I can't locate the option I ...

No minimum spend dial out only VoIP

I would like to see a VoIP option introduced that has no DID number and no minimum spend, so that you only pay for outgoing calls. This should be available to all customers, new and existing. I used to have iiNetPhone (with free DID number and no minimum spend) and found that using PSTN to receive c...
