Re: Where are the network graphs?

Why? Are they all redlining?

It was my understanding that they were all automated and didn't need to be touched.

Re: VOIP Frauds cause of default logins in equipments

So my fathers VOIP/Modem has been hacked remotely somehow I think. We got about 20 emails like this from Exetel: Please be advised that exetel automatic anti-fraud measures have detected a large number of calls from your voip service 028090**** today. This has been identified as a suspiciuos behavio...

Re: Exetel new VoIP server

** For security reasons the new SIP server is only available for those who have an internet connection with Exetel. I assume once it goes live this will change? I have VOIP with Exetel, but mainly use it via my Bigpond cable connection. (which BTW - works flawlessly - ppl have even commented it's c...

Re: Years of Service Discount

I'm one too, but am not getting a pioneer discount anymore as I only have a mobile with Exetel now as I moved to Telstra cable after 6 months of being promised new plans and Exetel not delivering. Now loving 20x my previous ADSL speed.

Gosh, sounds like it would be cheaper to churn somewhere else harryl.... then return later on.

Re: The Exetel 9+ year club!

I think that would be "don't use it" or "churn away". I moved to bigpond cable (non NBN area) just short of my 10 years with Exetel and so far am LOVING the speeds etc. Sooo much better than my old ADSL that dropped out at the sneeze of a butterfly in Cambodia. I've kept my VOIP and mobile with Exet...

Re: Port existing Exetel PSTN to Exetel VoIP - NBN

When I did this a year or two ago, I contacted Exetel Sales (residentialsales@exetel.com.au), they asked for a few details, confirmed a $15 activation charge, and then they submitted the request on my behalf. Provisioning then emailed me with the below: provisioning@exetel.com.au 06/11/2012 to me To...

Re: New Plans!

Well then, I stand corrected. Taking a while isn't it? Any vague (or definite) ETA available? I'm sure there are 100's of people keen to know both here and on Whirlpool. If not, can you ask for one?

Re: New Plans!

LOL, I'm sure if you review the 1000 odd posts I've made here, the great majority have been helpful/worthwhile.
Thanks for the great broadband and all the assistance over the years. (Not that I'm fully going, I'm keeping VOIP/mobile etc, I'm sure I'll still be around.)

Re: New Plans!

Exactly! https://forum.exetel.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=303&t=40509&start=30#p308061 states that Exetel gets bonuses/subsidies from Optus for new users. I assume they're passing some of those on to the new users to allow for the discounted plans. Yes, that is how I interpret those statements as well: ...

Re: New Plans!

Not really an apples, to apples comparison. Cable to ADSL2+? No it's not. I wasn't comparing the two. It was just the straw that broke the camel's back. I moved to our new home in 2012. The ADSL here is just not as good as it was at our old home that was several hundred metres from the Exchange. (I...

Re: New Plans!

I doubt it, it wouldn't take this long. They're just happy taking all the new subsidies/bonuses from new users. Um...New users are the ones that get the subsidies / bonuses. Plus, trolling on topics such as this doesn't really benefit anybody. Readers of this forum are correct that it has currently...
