Re: New Optus NAT Layer?

It would be less of a hassle if Exetel & Optus would provide IPV6 transit for ADSL & 3G/4G, but I'm not holding my breath. I could happen in the future, but there are no current plans for something like this to happen over night. Yeah, but it's been almost 5 years since it was first asked: https://...

Re: Is Exetel's Ironport Spam Filter still effective?

So I hope Exetel refund everyone their monthly fee. It is of course the right thing to do. (FYI: Not an ironport subscriber)

Re: The Exetel 6-year club

Anyone else run into lately the Exetel Pioneer discount not stacking with any other offered discount? I took up the EGN (Exetel gaming Network) offer for a $5 subsidised plan and now got this email from Exetel: As for the loyalty/pioneer discount – we will only pay one discount or the other – depend...

Re: Weird Voip calls.

So there is no easy way I can stop being woken up at night? I don't want to have to turn the ATA off everynight... Hopefully Exetel can do something about it.

Re: Weird Voip calls.

So it's a netcomm product fault accepting any request rather than only requests from the registered voip server or is that not how voip works?

Re: Weird Voip calls.

Ahh, No modem logs avail. It's in bridge mode as I couldn't get VOIP working properly without having my Netcomm V220 ATA doing the pppoe authentication. Still shouldn't the ATA only be accepting VOIP connections from Exetel's VOIP server? Don't tell me Exetel are allowing script kiddies free reign o...

Can Exetel ...

So charge us your cost price on the monthly fee, but don't increase data costs to 50/gb! That's just exorbitant and a tad extortionist.

Re: WI A - Thanks for the memories

I'm in the same boat. I've asked billing to cancel my service too. A few years ago you were GIVING AWAY these plans as part of your ADSL bundle for free and charging 1.5c/mb. Now it's $6.95 - 0 data and $56.95 for 1gb. That's a $51.95 increase on 1gb and an $86.95 increase on 2gb worth of download. ...

Seems premium now means we'll charge you premium for less. A few years ago you were GIVING AWAY these plans as part of your ADSL bundle for free and charging 1.5c/mb. Re: No Optus Mobile Data connections this morning....

As soon as I left the Syd. Olympic Park area, services returned to normal. Suspect it was the Big Day Out crowd overloading their services.

Re: No Optus Mobile Data connections this morning....

It's happening again right now at Sydney Olympic Park.

It could be a congestion issue due to the Big Day Out event, but I suspect not....

Any chance you can ask Optus?

Thanks,

T.

Re: No Optus Mobile Data connections this morning....

Nope still down, but the Whirlpool thread above indicates that it's still an issue and Optus are aware of it.
