Re: Changing to OTL plans?

+1

Took well less than 2 minutes. And by the time I'd hung up and refreshed the user facilities it was indicated on the Change Plan Status tab.

No. When you apply for the plan, then your line gets transferred across. You just need to have free Optus ports available.

Re: Peek/Offpeek time issues

What plan are you on? If one of the latest, then your peak time may be 2-8am, which means if you downloaded from midnight to 2am, then that was peak today...

Otherwise there has been an issue with the usage metre, see the other thread.. viewtopic.php?f=303&t=36768

Re: ADSL2+ on Telstra Exchanges

So even if it's capped at 8mb, I'll be getting a lot faster speed than I am now for $10 less, still sounds ok to me... :) Yeah and if you sync at less than 8132 kbps then there is no need to upgrade the modem either. Unless the increased upload sync would be of benefit. SO hook it up and if you're ...

Re: New ADSL2 Plan Parameters

I know this goes completely against the KISS principle (by a long stretch), but what would the likelihood be of being able to create a dynamic off-peak? The idea would be to reward those that pro-actively download when the graphs indicate least link utilisation. One would have a single quota and no ...

Re: Report Broken Links/Failed Web Functions Here

A couple of things.. On all the new ADSL2 plans (Inc, Naked and BYO), it indicates that Shaping is the standard option. Nowhere does it define what shaping is (Eg on Member facilities change plan the 512 kbps is included in the Quota table). If there is a limit on shaping (eg 50% of the quota) then ...

Re: Testing Required for the New Members

I like the rationalisation of the left menu items.

For consistency I recommend migrating (or replicating) the Services > Manage Add Ons tab to the Order Services > VOIP. This would mean I could Order the Add Ons from the Order Services items.

Your off peak time is as per your member facility. If you have not changed to one of the new plans, there is no change.

Re: New ADSL2 Plan Parameters

OFF PEAK means periods when the network is used very little (in comparison). It isn't some method of assigning periods of higher usage. This I understand. However, the current (generous) period titled Off-Peak has created the peak usage, as anyone who has even cursorily looked at the graphs. So wha...

Re: New ADSL2 Plan Parameters

During the last time the off peak issue was being discussed, I suggested a tiered system (https://forum.exetel.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=288&t=32874&p=253102&hilit=tier#p253102). I had three reasons to divide the day into three tiers: 1. allow for business hours to have relatively uncongested bandwidth...

The contact page lists the queues as closed. It is now 08:50am. Does the script just need to be updated?
