Re: new to voip plz help

Gday, Someone else over on the whirlpool forum has some good info http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies-archive.cfm/1157847.html It's always worth searching there for internet/voip things too. Make sure you read the whole post. You should just need to put in the exetel settings for SIP NUMBER...

Re: Cant make out going call with voip

No worries. I'll let you know if I manage to get ours working with g729 codec. I think it's an issue with Exetel as our 3102 ata works with Mynetfone voip and g729 codec. As long as you have plenty of bandwidth/download quota g711a should be fine. It does use a fair bit more bandwidth at 38mb per ho...

Re: Cant make out going call with voip

Under audio codec try g711a and YES for use prefered codec only. Was the only way I've been able to get a Linksys 3102 to
call out... Not ideal I know, but it got mine working...

Can't receive from Telstra system- Fixed or mobile phones

Hi, We have Exetel voip ( ported from PSTN) and also MNF voip. I have set up the Exetel voip on a Linksys 3102 ata . I can ring out to most people, but can't "receive" calls from Telstra land lines or mobile, they get message " this number is not available from this service" type of message. I can r...

Re: VOIP call forwarding

Where is this "diverted to" setting? In the soft phone? Or...? I wouldn't think that diverting from anywhere other than through member facilities would work. When I use the member facilities to divert it, I get a long pause ( when calling from another phone- I've tried a few other phones...) then an...

Re: VOIP call forwarding

Hi Bilal, Short of writing a book length description of all I've tried- To confirm that the Exetel voip service we have works, I tried using the Xlite softphone downloaded from exetel. I suspect the supplied Xlite may not work( for receiving calls ) as it doesn't have the G729 codec . As per other f...

Re: VOIP call forwarding

Hi, I can't get call forward to work for either of our exetel voip numbers. I've tried all the ideas in this thread. I emailed support last Friday and no answer yet. I tried the internatioal format 612xxxxxxxx for numbers etc. I waited atleast an hour to try after changes. Each of the numbers do wor...

Half connected to Exetel half to AAPT. Stuck in no mans land

Gday all, We are "sort of" in the process of getting ADSL2 + phone with exetel. The cutover date has changed a few time and was to be 2 days ago. Short story is though - We can't connect with AAPT adsl ( keep getting "failed login page from exetel" when ever we try to go anywhere) we can login to ex...
