Re: Another Price Increase - AFTER the Whirlpool voting finished
Right, back to prices. Each year I get an email like this from Exetel, informing me that they are near poverty and need to increase prices. Firstly, if that's the case then shut up shop and do something else that makes you happy...oh and earns money!!! Exetel are very open about the fact that they ...

Re: Many many many dropout and disconnections
Once it's connected it was good. I then tried connecting the phone then it would'nt connect. After a few goes I did the isolation test again and this time nothing works. Do you have an ADSL filter on your phone connection? Something like this http://www.netcomm.com.au/netcomm-products/microfilters/...

Re: Continual dopouts. Opinions please
Exetel have attempted to run a line test, but the test comes back that there is a circuit still connected on the line so line test can not proceed....I have had a cabler in to check my house wiring and he gave it a clean bill of health but the drop outs continue. humpda, just to clarify: a. When th...

Re: Mobile 1 Plan - Is the monthly minimum really $0.00?
If the service does get canceled after two months of $0.00, it doesn't sound like the minimum charge really is $0.00. I am using a couple of these accounts, just make one short call per month and its fine, after all no provider is going to hold an account open for more than 2 months if you don't us...

Re: No SIP light on V210P and I have NFI why
I've connected it as per the setup guide - LAN slot on ATA to computer. WAN slot to router. Golden Path, I am using V210p with NB6-4W and the setup guides as published worked first up for me, once I had a true WAN connection in place. Just make sure that the WAN cable you are using is a straight 8p...

Re: Why the internet (e.g. Whirlpool) can harm your reputation
I think Exetel have more to gain by being active on whirlpool rather than not being a part of it.. I feel the opposite. Whirlpool was once an OK forum, but has gone way off the rails with little or no real moderation happening. Basically it has become a slang match between those who love Exetel and...

Re: Virus infected PC's
... the way Exetel handles virus infected computers by restricting their service is a good thing and about time something was put in place to get other ISP's to do the same... Yes Exetel's Virus block system is great to see. Other providers must do the same. I would take the concept further and pus...

Re: Beyond a joke. <0.4mbps
Never seen speed issues like this before. Some speed tests are giving me less than 0.4mbps line speed... Must be a localised issue. I'm using NB6+4W at RAND. Also speed results vary - not sure if they mean anything. iview and youtube all work OK. [`[*Test Results from <a href="http://www.ozspeedtes...

Re: Cannot log into my NetComm V 210 P. VoiP ATA
Please explain how I can connect ATA to PC and still connect to the Internet, or don't I have to be on the Internet? The Internet is your phone line which goes first into the ATA, then you have a WAN link to your modem/router. I assume your PC is hooked via a LAN cable from the modem/router. Try li...

Re: Cannot log into my NetComm V 210 P. VoiP ATA
In desperation I have reset the NetComm V210P ATA, but I still cannot log onto it. I have a Belkin N1 Vision modem /router model F5D8632au4A address 192.168.2.1 connected to the ATA. jtdt jtdt, I am using a V210P hooked to NB6 router. To log into the ATA I have to link directly from the ATA to my m...

Calling Card doesn't record on Telstra Home 101
My uncle has a Calling Card with caller ID setup.
When he calls locally or nationally and leaves an answer message it often does not work.
Most of the cases seem to be Telstra Home 101 users.
Is this a Telstraism a VOIP issue or a glitch in the system?

Re: how do I call forward my home VOIP number to my mobile phone
But, in other words, the call is not forwarded from server level, but from ATA level if you set it that way? It should work from server level, that's what I'm curious about and needs fixing. James I had issues dating back 2 months and after a lot of emails have resigned myself to : 1. That call for...

Re: Scam emails won't stop
Tafkam, in Thunderbird /Tools use Message filters to create a rule that all email FROM vetproducts.com goes directly to trash. This will not stop them, but at least they go directly to the bin. PS...Also would advise not to follow any links from any unknown source. Clicking on any link can let scamme...
