Re: New ADSL Plans For July 1st 2009

Hello. Is there any chance you could publish a non-binding draft of new plans? I, and I suspect like many existing Exetel members, would be interested in comparing plans currently available within the members area to that which is coming with a view of locking in a plan change before 1st July if a c...

Re: New ADSL Plans For July 1st 2009

From John's blog looks like much of the decision making has been completed but I'd like to see a 'fairer' distribution of plan cost. For example, a fixed multiplier is used to determine how much off-peak your plan includes comapred to peak purchase. So a 6GB peak plan comes with 6GB x 2 for 12GB off...

Re: No Melbourne DIDs available (again)

It does beg the questison however why Exetel require the DID in the first place. Anyone that still has their PSTN for the most part does not need the DID unless they want a PSTN number outside their locality for family/friends. With the MNF service I was using up until recently, I gave up the DID wh...

Re: VoIP activation and presumed plan change

Well I must be going crazy. Just chekced the logs and seems now the calls are using G729. I did a factory default and rekey of settings yesterday so maybe that made a difference. I did a factory default with the FW update, like I always do for Billion FW testing. Oh well.

Re: VoIP activation and presumed plan change

Hi, I am with MNF too. You can use the MNF web interface to turn automatic top-up off. Mitch. In my case I can only switch between monthly top-up and triggered top-up; am I missing something? It's probably academic as I've got my Exetel VoIP setup now prior to next MNF top-up. I'll just need to be ...

VoIP activation and presumed plan change

Hello. I have just placed a request to change ADSL plan from TELH to TL-BA so as to obtain the included VoIP. Currently VoIP is via MNF. The plan change will occur beginning May. I have also now just signed up for VoIP in the members area as I wish to start using VoIP via Exetel as I'm very close to...

Re: Mobile Offerings From Exetel

Hi. I have 3 phones on Mobile 1 plans. I changed my mobile and ADSL to Exetel because of these plans. If Exetel was to ditch it's low monthly fee (zero in my case) access and per second billing then I would have to reconsider my options. I have no interest in capped plans. And can I take this oppert...

Re: Revisions To ADSL1 Plans

Well I've been saving $10 a month on an older plan so I guess I can't complain. A bit ironic to change to a plan that would be $10 more expensive to get $10 worth of free calls. Guess i'll keep holding on to the hope I can get naked with PSTN portability to VoIP at some point. That seems the best lo...

Re: Revisions To ADSL1 Plans

Hi Alex, It did say current plans, but I guess it could have been clearer. james I'm on TELH so an older plan. I just checked the message again. I beg to differ but it doesn't say for current plans anywhere; the message is titled "REVISIONS TO ADSL1 PLANS" and even finishes up saying that "No curre...

Re: General VoIP and PSTN port to VoIP questions

Thanks for the information, it has helped greatly. Just a couple of follow on items: Scroll further down on that page - it should be there. It is on my parent's ADSL1 facilities. Otherwise email provisioning@exetel.com.au Nope. I only have the option to change to TELH (O). At some point a few weeks ...

General VoIP and PSTN port to VoIP questions

Hello. I’ve a number of questions regarding VoIP and PSTN porting etc. Currently on ADSL1 (TELH plan) and am considering in the next few month to perhaps move to naked ADSL2 along with porting of PSTN to Exetel VoIP. Currently using VoIP for outgoing via MyNetFone using Billion 7401VGPM (supports on...

Changes to "per minute" Mobile plans

Hi. Just a quick question following on from the message 10/3/2009 regarding per minute mobile plan changes. Essentially the message does not indicate if the revised fair usage limits are per mobile or per account. Can someone confirm please? Thanks.

Mobile meter on member home page not working

Hi, The mobile meter on the member home page is not working correctly. I have 3 mobile numbers and the call cost summary is shown for each. Each number is also listed within a list box with a 'view detailed summary' command box just below it. When you select the command box it will always show the d...

Re: New Year Present (Limited)

Final post. When I checked the exchange using the Exetel link provided previously it says ADSL2 enabled but not from whom; it's only when you continue with an application does it show (in my case PTLx plans). Two quetsions, as I'm not in any particular hurry should I let Exetel do the Powertel chang...

Re: New Year Present (Limited)

Still somewhat confused. The email offer for me was for a transfer to ADSL2 on Optus which requires me to also transfer PSTN to Exetel at $30 per month line rental. The offer in this form doesn't interest me (and it's not really the reason for this thread in any case). It seems from reading the thre...
