Try to coordinate with the Internode guys, or mention that their techs have been investigating the same issues.

Re: Latency increase across the board

It reports upstream Latency as Fast and the ms drops by 10. It has never mis-reported the Latency compared to the ms drop. When I use Telnet to check the detailed stats they show up as similar, detailed output here http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=1330655 I don't have those Interle...

Re: Latency increase across the board

maybe so, but a simple restart makes Interleave change to Fast.

So i'm not sure what the idea is for that by the Optus guys or if that is a bug.

I'm trying to write a telnet batch script to resync my connection if it detects Interleave in the modem when I boot my PC. No reason to waste 10ms

Re: Latency increase across the board

additional note: When I use Interleave Lantency I get 58ms ping (at the moment) When I use Fast Lantency I get 48ms ping (at the moment) But I can only use Fast when I restart my connection, if my modem is off a for a while (15 minutes?) it always defaults to Interleave Latency for the first sync. Is it back?

I have seen it in a few other places I think.

Re: No service / Account suspend?

Most users get redirected successfully, but a small portion don't and I don't know whether or not Exetel have identified the root cause of this. I can replicate this bug reliably. Below detail might be backwards, but it is basically the cause for what happened to me twice. Get a Billion 7402VL, LLC...

Re: Latency increase across the board

This issue is still going on, it has been noticed by a lot of people in the Newcastle area, there is a big topic with lots of similar experiences. Those outside Newcastle area seem to be fine. We're all interested in the latency going back to the better speed so we can game online like we used to. h...

Re: No Sync - but works in Multimode, busy tone on Naked

fair enough, seems weird to have that extra noise on there even if it is insignificant.

Why would my line be changed to only work in Multimode ? I think only ADSL1 is syncing now.

edit: also connects at ADSL2A if I allow T1.413

No Sync - but works in Multimode, busy tone on Naked

Just had no sync for 2 days, had tried fiddling modem settings but I didn't try changing to ADSL1 Multimode until right now, and it gets Sync! ADSL2+ wont sync ADSL2 wont sync ADSL1 in G.dmt or g.lite wont sync. Before I test another modem, I want to know if the line should have a sort of Busy Signa...

Can't call a certain number

When I call a certain number that I have called successfully many times - it rings a few times and then hangs up with a complete blank, no noise. It seems like the other end picks up and my end just goes dead. I've tried waiting for a long time to see if it works, but it just wont seem to call this ...

Re: Off-peak / Unlimited plans considerations

No Charge?

I'm staring at and thinking - what does it mean?
Reminds me of "Free as in beer" I can think of a few competely opposite (to the intended meaning) yet totally plausible meanings for it. I know what it is "meant" to mean, but the more I stare at it the less I get it.
