Re: line checker

Click 'order' on the type of plan you are interested in http://www.exetel.com.au/a_plan_pricing_adsl2_new.php. You will be directed to the appropriate 'line checker'.

Re: APN for new CAP Plans

I had noticed my service on CAP19 (previously WM-B) required an APN change yesterday from 'exetel1' to either 'internet' or 'connect'. Is it possible that the CAPx APN settings are reflected in the FAQ,Wiki and/or sticky? I am sure there will be some existing confusion. P.S. SMTP setting 'mail.optus...

Re: Help need on setting up Exetel Access point

I haven't got any Exetel Wireless Broadband plan, Exetel (via Optus) CAP plan or another Mobile 3G/HSPA service plan. You will need a 3G mobile service with a data plan (and SIM) for your mobile phone. Did you buy this phone outright without a mobile service provider? If you are not currently with ...

Re: Help need on setting up Exetel Access point

I have an E71 so I will assume it is one and the same. First, I have created 'exetel1' in tools->connection->apn control This is not required. then created new access point in tools->connection->access point with settings of: Connection name: exetel 3g Data bearer: Packet data Access point name: exe...

Re: PSTN To VOIP

These days naked plans offer little if any advantage with monthly fees compared to their PSTN counterparts. For example, existing customers have the option of: - OTAA 50/180 GB for $23 ADSL2 + $30 'line rental' = $53 p/m, - OTBB 75/180 GB for $33 ADSL2 + $30 'line rental' = $63 p/m, or - ONC 60/180 ...

Re: more voip value packs

The problem must be specific to the new value packs VP5 and VP6. I can confirm there is no 'minute meter' for VP6

It has been automatically discounting the included mobile charges which is reassurance enough for me.

Re: removal of codes from dsl line

This link could provide a valuable insight http://whrl.pl/RckbP8 Yes sometimes consultants can use some very confusing language, what they mean is that they're waiting for the rapid transfer to complete (which would result in the Exetel codes coming off the line). If it is a rapid transfer that is o...

Re: STD and IDD

I think that refers to Pre-selection of Exetel for Long Distance calls whilst the landline rental paid to a 3rd party (such as Telstra)

Re: New Bundled ADSL/Wire Line/Mobile Plans

It must be in the 'marketing' but - in the first four hours of them being available more plans were ordered than the previous plans they replaced which had been available for eight weeks. That is great it is going well. You can't argue with good sales. I guess I look far further into the details th...

Re: Change ADSL2+ Plan

Sheesh, I tried to offer a helpful and positive outlook based on Exetel's history over the past couple of years. Did not expect such a dismissive (almost insulting) response. It now appears you hijacked this thread just to rant. I am sorry that I could not help you. Ravenous states a useless tautolo...

Re: Tracking usage on OPTUS cap plans

So the data usage meter should not be relied upon?

Now that I look closer the HSPA member facility meter and 'detailed usage' reads 0.08 MB. The ADSL member facility wireless usage meter is the one I have been using and currently read 14 MB.

Hmm.

Re: Tracking usage on OPTUS cap plans

I would love this feature in the meter to distinguish between "Call & SMS Included Value" and "Exetel to Exetel Included Call Value" at the moment got to track it manually. In regards to data usage (assuming you cant find it), do you log into the facilities with the mobile service number or ADSL ser...

Re: No ADSL link light

I suggest following this procedure. Most likely 'No Sync' but go through the steps. Worst case is that you need to log a case with Exetel for a technician visit.
