Re: Exetel MoIP Symbian / iPhone / Windows Mobile / Android

I had dropout issues via wifi. Turning on NAT traversal in the 'Advanced Settings' section of the Exetel MoIP application (Nokia version) saw improvement to near flawless results. I do not use a STUN server. Don't ask me about technical details as I do not understand why 'NAT traversal' had worked f...

Re: New $3 surcharge

I am no solicitor however my understanding is Exetel can vary the 'contract' in their favour so long as they give notice in writing of the change and give forty-two days from the date of the notice in which the Customer may cancel the Service without incurring fees or charges other than Accrued Char...

Re: New $3 surcharge

Perplexes me why they use the surcharge method instead of simply raising the monthly charge of each affected plan by $3? Is it a limitation in the billing system?

Re: ADSL Plans/$10 - $25 Per Month Discounts

No thanks if it involves mobile 'cap' plans that I avoid like the plague. If a good set of per minute plans with a range of minimum spend options were offered, I would give it some serious thought. The Exetel HSPA 900 MHz (Optus YesG) coverage out in the regions has been nothing short of superb. 210...

Re: Moip

For those with ADSL services, you can use a VoIP add-on pack unlike stand alone HSPA services.
VP4 50 Minutes of VOIP Mobile calls for $5.00 per month then $0.15 Per MINUTE thereafter
Pretty darn good.

Re: VOIP Caller ID's

I had my numbers masked when it was allowed originally. At some stage, many months later, calls to PSTN were barred. An email to support resulted in the removal of the masks. It is clear that this limitation remains. It is like being treated to mud-cake but beware of the glass shards!

Re: Can't call a ported number from exetel to virgin

It appears that test calls from Vodafone SIMs (plural) cannot connect with your Wife's phone. Unfortunately your Wife's mobile service is the responsibility of Virgin (and theirs to resolve) such that there is almost nothing Exetel can do even if they wanted to, other than to advise your Wife to con...

Re: Voicemail on Optus HSPA w/mobile plan

To set up voicemail on an Optus HSPA with mobile plan, you're meant to call 321 and go through the prompts to set up the greeting, etc. Is this a free call from the mobile that has the plan? Wireless Voicemail Service Voicemail - Message Deposit (Call Diversion) NIL Voicemail - Message Retrieval 20...

Re: ADSL been dead slow lately....

It looks like some jitter, could be a number of reasons. Run an Isolation test on the line and see if there is any improvement with the connection. If that fails then try making a hard setting with a borrowed MODEM. Try by making the extension shorter that leads up the MODEM and you can use 2m cable...

Re: Help in connecting to ADSL2+ Telstra Exchange

Turn you modem off for 15 minutes and then back on again.

Or you will see it come online at some stage tomorrow, some previous posts indicate the switchover happening between 8am and 12noon the following day.

Re: Relocating NAKED connection

It takes approx 10 business days after filling and submitting the form. I would time it for a day or two after you have made your move (submit form after 26th Aug) so that you are available at the new premises in case of a technican visit. If there is any need to change the auto-arranged date after ...

Try a reinstall of the app. Other than that I am stumped. Perhaps ensure the firmware of the E66 is up-to-date but that is a very long shot.
