Moved out into my own flat and am interested in an ADSL 2 with phone plan. The line is not active, I suppose - no dial tone, but I found the out the number for the line by dialing 127 22 123. However, when I entered the number to check whether ADSL is available for me it said: SQ function is current...
I should have made it a bit clearer that i have a belkin 4-port wireless router already so a barebones modem ADSL2+ modem should do just fine. (and by barebones i don't mean a super cheap dodgy thing either, that's all the speedstreams are, had two replaced...)
Yeah trust telstra to do something like that. I already have a router with free ethernet available and buying an adapter for the phone would be no issue. I might see if i can pick up the modem exetel reccomends (the NB6), i'm presuming this would still count as a churn (i see no reason why not). Oth...
don't worry i have researched broadband plans :), but ADSL2+ is out of the question due to where i live. apparently 30,000 people isn't enough for anyone but telstra to install DSLAMs... So it's ADSL for me. I looked at VOIP but it may be something i switch to later on, at the moment i'll stick with...
i'm considering switching to exetel and was looking at how my landline phone would work, i see bundled packages but their usage is severely restricted on the plan page... is it best i go with an oustide provider? i'm currently with telstra for landline and mobile... exetel's pricing is very attracti...
