This afternoon I received a Facebook message from Exetel suggesting that I should look at https://www.mybroadband.communications.gov.au/ so I did. This web site says that based on my distance from the local exchange and all things being equal, houses in my area should have: 1. Asymmetric Digital Sub...

Re: New website glitches

I have tried to update my ADSL plan from the members facility page, Services and Usage, select ADSL, Change Plan This gives me a table where there are two OP300 plans listed and the bottom one is the same cost as the OPF75 plan ($59.50) If I select it anyway, assuming that it really should be OPF300...

Re: iPhone Tethering

Corey before the "enabling a enabling a wifi hotspot" setting is available in your iPhone, Exetel has to allow it via the activate tethering section on the Member's Facility page. I have NO IDEA what is different about an iPhone vs ANY other smartphone which requires this to be activated. The Androi...

Re: 4G

I was trying to get a colleague to sign up for a new Exetel mobile service but now that the price has gone from approx. $18 to $40 for the medium plan, and seeing that there is no 4G service in Wollongong, they will not be going ahead with the plan. I would be interested in seeing how many new mobi...
