calling 13x xxx numbers

I have just started using my new Exetel (Wollongong) DID (after being an ENGIN customer for the last 12 months) and I am testing what I can and can't do with it. One thing I have noticed is calling 13x xxx numbers..............if it relates to the type that diverts to the local office of a company (...

VoIP and Telstra HomeLine Budget

I am having a problem with that old Chestnut - How do you get Telstra to move you onto the HomeLine Budget plan to save $7 a month Exetel's VoIP page uses this as a marketing ploy Telephone Line Required For VoIP If you are using an Exetel “Naked” ADSL2 service then no ‘telephone’ line is required t...

Re: Will Regional FAX DIDs be available now

Thanks for that valuable piece of information, but like Exetel, UTBox does NOT provide DIDs for Wollongong either. Also apart from the free trial period, UTBox is more expensive than the Exetel version Send Fax Exetel 3 cents UTbox 15 cents local 45 cents interstate Receive Fax Exetel $1 per month U...

Re: Will Regional FAX DIDs be available now

Email to fax is for outgoing Faxes
Fax to email (with the DID) is for incoming Faxes

So for a complete service both are required.

Will Regional FAX DIDs be available now

 Seeing that the VoIP service now has numbers available for Wollongong, Newcastle, Penrith and Geelong as well as the Capital cities, can you please provide the Fax DIDs for those regions too?
I am especially looking for a Wollongong Fax DID.

Re: Regional DIDs

Exetel can correct me if I am wrong, but what we did was: in Members Facilities, to go to the Change VoIP Services and use Cancel Services . Then using Order VoIP Services order the DID you want for the region that you want. One small issue appears to be if you are a Naked DSL customer the Order VoI...

Re: ADSL2 IncPhone and VoIP questions

In the end I decided to churn to Exetel's ADSL service rather than connecting to the ADSL2 service. I sent the Churn request to Excetel on the 16/06/2008 and then on 22/06/2008 I sent the following email to People Telecom. "On the 16/06/2008 I applied to Churn to another ISP. The planned Churn date ...

Re: ADSL2 IncPhone and VoIP questions

I also sent my questions to residentialsales@exetel.com.au and received the following reply today Hello, Please find that when changing from an ADSL1 service to Exetel ADSL2+ service there is a very limited down time as you will be able to use your connection until the day we cut the connection over...
