Re: IP Address change - Discussion

Re: Stop increasing off peak quota

Exetel aren't like Optus/Telstra/Other Large companries, they aren't in it to make more money.

Also, the new peak times have removed the 12am congestion as it isn't off peak anymore.

Something positive.

I just thought in light of all the negativity on the board from whiny bitches I'd post my positive experience :) I was up until yesterday tossing up which ISP to recommend to my friends whom have tight budgets and can't afford any excess charges. So I, via the Suggestions Box asked management to hav...

Re: Change In Off Peak/Peak Times

Obviously I won't get any valid answer for my question..since you keep skidding the issue. I'm glad common sense has prevailed :-) ForumAdmin, aka the head honcho of Exetel has said what is happening. And is rarely one to change his opinion on anything. Constantly posting in a thread he may not eve...

Re: Change In Off Peak/Peak Times

Good point, I reckon many people just ignore the offpeak shifting because they don't think their choices really matter the condition of exetel network. If you don't use P2P very much, and especially don't automatically start it at 0:00am, you shouldn't be responsible to the packet lossing problem. ...

Re: Change In Off Peak/Peak Times

This will have absolutely no impact on me so far as I can tell so I'm not fussed. The only thing I don't understand is how a bunch of downloading at 12 can affect the network but that it doesn't do so between 6am-12am. I know people have said most downloads finish by then, but with the nature of P2...

Re: Change In Off Peak/Peak Times

This thread is hilarious, whining b*tches have amassed. It seems most still dont understand the problem. Most downloads finish in less than 2-3 hours, which means that you are now more than welcome to schedule it at 2am, and they'll be done well before people wake up. The - 2 hours of offpeak I dunn...

Re: Exetel's New Country Broadband Web Site

They're hoping to get lots of agents when this starts to air I presume :) I love the design, but a few bug fixes: Ad shows plans from $20/month yet they start at $5 The link to more information about the yagi antenna is non existant - http://www-dev.countrybroadband.com.au/faster Maybe reword the pa...
