Data sharing/pooling across multiple SIMs?

Optus, Telstra and Vodafone are all advertising family/business data sharing mobile plans.... As in, you sign up for 2x1GB plans, and the 2GB total is available to be spread across the 2 devices as needed (rather than being capped to 1GB on each, you might go 1.5GB on one and 500mb on the other). Is...

Re: Regional VoIP DID's

Is there still issues with regional areas? I notice the posts in this thread are now quite old.... If there is still only selected areas covered, is there some way to check what areas are covered without starting an application process? If there's no issues, perhaps this thread should be un-stickied...

Re: Slow Internet - No Response to my ticket

We're getting between 500kbps and 3mbps here on a 20mbps line sync. On a business plan! Suggesting we leave if we don't like it doesn't help the issue. If this is a supplier issue, Exetel should be telling their supplier to fix the problem, not telling the customers to leave. Here's something odd th...

1.5mbps? That'd be nice right now. Fastest I've seen today is 400kbps.

Re: Exetel Network Congestion

We've been getting random slowness at home and work (both Exetel) for a few weeks now. Sometimes it's just some sites, other times it's dead slow everywhere. For me, switching my phone to mobile data doesn't help... After Optus has given us a week of daily outages for "upgrades", we now get long per...

Re: Report Broken Links/Failed Web Functions Here

Just tried to view both residential and business plans available where I am. In both cases, I get a circle spinning in the right hand end of the text box, which presumably symbolises loading something, but nothing ever happens. Clicking "check now" simply results in a message saying ADSL is unavaila...

Re: Mobile usage charge?

OK, so the charge is for an SMS (according to PM reply). But 2 years ago, I was told my mobile broadband service was to have voice and SMS barred. I can't see any emails from Exetel saying this was changing, nor can I see any place in the members area to show me charges for this usage. If the charge...

Mobile usage charge?

I've got one of the old mobile broadband plans that includes no data. About 2 years ago, there was an email sent out saying it would be moving to data only, and SMS and voice would no longer be available on it.... Curiously though, the last invoice I have has a 22c charge for "Mobile Voice Charges (...

Website link - "Forgotten your username or password ?"

On the "MyExetel" login page, there is a sentence saying "Forgotten your username or password ?". This contains links in both the words "username" and "password", which both point to the same page - password_recover.php. The resulting page then asks for your username and email address. If you've for...

Re: NSW Wollongong - PPPoE dropping semi regular this last w

Suggestion - You may bypass the router and have a laptop directly connected with a established pppoe dial up connection and check if the issue persists or not. When I say router, it's a Linux box doing the PPPoE, so I do get a fair bit of feedback about what it's doing. I'm replacing it with a Cisc...

Re: NSW Wollongong - PPPoE dropping semi regular this last w

We've been getting disconnected every night for a few nights now. Almost like clockwork, somewhere between 7pm and 8pm it just dies. The router tries to reconnect, but it looks like authentication never happens sometimes, and the PPP session just sits there. It could be something at my end though - ...

fraudulent transfer?

Someone has presented Telstra with a fake lease for our business premises, and transferred our lines away from us.
Exetel says they cant say who it is, telstra says a lease was supplied but can't talk about it....

What can we do to prevent our lack of internet tomorrow morning?

Re: Unable to connect - ppp authentication fail

Our home connections been terrible tonight. Dropped a few times, including one of the PPP without IP address reconnections.

Is the emergency IOS upgrade aiming to fix these frequent PPP dropouts? Or is tonight's dropouts related to the work (not supposed to have started yet)?
