Add on Packs..when do they start?

Hi, Just enquiring about the add on packs (like the $1 for 30 SMS), when do they start applying after you select them? It says the next calendar month when you choose the pack, but on the SMS page it gives conflicting info about the costs of each SMS - 1 section still says I'm being charged at 5c, t...

Re: Exetel MoIP

Quick question: Is Optus 3G reliable enough for VOIP when you're not in a Wifi zone?

I'm in Brisbane and intend to only be using it in metro areas within 5km of the CBD.

Any good/bad experiences to report?

How are people finding call quality and the reliability of the Optus 3G network in metro areas? :)

Re: Exetel MoIP

Does anyone know whether the MOIP and Exetel SMS Widget is compatible with the LG Viewty KU990? What OS is it? Unless it's Symbian S60 or Windows Mobile I seriously doubt it will worth Exetel's while making an app to support it. http://forum.exetel.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=308&t=34542&start=0#p263668...

Re: Changed plan but still shaped?

Support staff are still inconsistent though, I was trying to emphasise over the phone that I had shaping changes etc which was the likely cause of the speed issue, but he ignored me and wanted me to do line isolation tests etc... Sigh.... same thing happen to me last month, i explained i was being ...

Re: Changed plan but still shaped?

Have you rebooted the modem? This is sometimes required for things like shaping changes to take effect. Yes I had at the time (30 mins power cycle). I emailed them again last night, and apparently they made some profile changes? Speed is back to normal now even during peak which is great :). Fastes...

Re: Changed plan but still shaped?

Same problem here at the moment. I'm also on the NF21/Inc Tel and ran into problems this month with shaping. Apparently I have been unshaped now. Dear Sir/Madam, Thank you for your e-mail. Please note that shaping option has been removed. Also note that you will not be able to re-enable shaping for ...

Re: VoIP Issues

Hi Jason/Gidget, Thanks for your help again in regards to the exchange connection issues a few weeks ago. I've contacted billing via the email you provided, but they've been very very unhelpful with the matter. They will only refund the money from Wed 27th of Jan when the ticket was logged (and NOT ...

Re: VoIP Issues

In this case it was an exchange side fault - it wasn't jumpered up properly. It's now back in sync on the 24Mbps profile, at 3582/664, over that 5.1kM Line length. Thanks Jason. I'll test it out when I get back tonight. For interest sake - what exactly does "exchange side fault - it wasn't jumpered...

Re: VoIP Issues

Cheers guys.

I wish the Exetel person on the line told me this :)

So do I /arrange for someone to be at home in the morning then? Is it an Exetel person or an Optus person looking at the line in the manhole outside?

Thanks once again. Hanging in there...

Re: VoIP Issues

What's your Ticket Number? Gidget The one which they created on the 27th Jan is 2138853. The one on Friday 22nd was either not created or closed. Communication has been generally very poor. They never called me back after they said they would investigate the line fault on Friday. Instead on Sunday ...
