Re: Off Peak Period Change

There is no change of value - unless you download an amount that cannot be accommodated in 180 hours a month.....very hard to actually do that. That is not true, unless the peak download quotas are increased by 50% to reflect the increased percentage of the day that is covered. I currently sit comf...

Did you previously select a 2-2 option when Exetel allowed you to?
No, I did try to at one stage, but the option had disappeared by then.

Re: Off-peak time

Just found it... The new plans should definitely be 12-12. See attached post by "Forum Admin"

Re: Off-peak time

I have noticed the same. The new plan I have signed up for specifically said that the off-peak time was midnight to midday, and I haven't seen any notice of variation from Exetel to this. I am guessing that it will be discreetly fixed up in due course. Hopefully they will re-credit the peak quota th...

Re: SMS staying as "Sent"

I have now tried SMSing to my own mobile and they are not getting through. I have logged a ticket.

SMS staying as "Sent"

I sent an SMS a bit over a hour ago using the "members facilities" web page and it is still showing up as "Sent". Usually these change to "Delivered" fairly quickly. What causes this to change from Sent to Delivered? Is is when the message leaves the Exetel controlled equipment? Or is there some fee...

Re: Withdrawal Of Free Included Services On Older Plans

Just spoke to customer about changing to NF1500 from TL-BA, cost to change plan with no line speed change is listed as $90. I don't think/hope this is not correct, cost of $90 to save $5 per month!! You can always cancel the service and then immediately sign up for the new plan. It only costs $60 t...

Re: VoIP died completely this morning - has Exetel changed anyth

Well, my VoIP has returned to normal. I haven't changed anything and I have absolutely no idea what happened.

Re: VoIP died completely this morning - has Exetel changed anyth

Further note... I can get to Exetel's voicemail service without issue, so I am guessing that my SIP link to Exetel is OK and that the problem is between Exetel and the PSTN.

VoIP died completely this morning - has Exetel changed anyth

This morning we are unable to make any outgoing VoIP calls (incoming calls still work). Asterisk just refuses to make the call. I have also tried with X-Lite and it has the same problem. This happens on any number, including my non VoIP number which I know is not congested. This may have also been t...

Re: IP Address change - Discussion

Hmmm, I just tried to go to the "View/Change IP" page in "Exetel's Member Facilities" and it says "Your Account status is inactive. You cannot change modem ip address details."

I don't know why my account would be inactive... It says my payment status is OK.

Re: IP Address change - Discussion

Is it just a quirk of my modem-router, or did some IP not get changed? You are not alone. I have been using the net this morning for ~1 hour and just started reading the forum messages. Seeing this message reminded me to login to my modem/router to check if the IP change had happened - to my surpri...

Re: IP Address change - Discussion

The IP address of anyone on a plan under 18GB/month usage will change, those on plans over 18GB/month will NOT change. Also, if you do not get an email notice, then your IP address will not be changed. Exetel has sent me the message that my IP address will change for a site where I host DNS for a f...

Re: IP Address change - Discussion

First, your IP address is only going to change IF you receive the email notice saying it is. The change is only for SOME users in NSW , and not everyone's will change. So if you don't get the notice email, it means your IP address is not going to change. OK, but I got the email. If you do receive t...

Re: IP Address change - Discussion

I have an authoritive DNS for my domain, and also the mail exchanger running off my Exetel connection. I am planning to publish a secondary MX record with my new IP address so hopefully any mail in the transition period will find me (MX records will fail over based on priority). As far as the domain...
