Re: Optus per minute plans question
Hi KarLos, I only have a CAP19 plan to go by, so I can't speak directly for the per minutes, but I assume it is the same. Looking at the usage page for this CAP19 mobile account, it appears as though data sessions need to be aporund 15 - 20kB before they are charged. The largest usage session that r...

Re: $10.00 (or more) Discount On Wireless Broadband Plans
... Buy an Exetel/Optus mobile and get $10.00 off your wireless monthly bill. ... Ah I see now - sorry I misunderstood the offer. Would the offer allow "double dipping"? If one has a CAP19 with Exetel, does that give $10 off their Exetel ADSL (if they have that service) as well as [up to] $10 off t...

Re: $10.00 (or more) Discount On Wireless Broadband Plans
Discounts always welcome... I assume this would only apply to certain wireless broadband plans or scaled similarly to the CAP plans? I have an old WM-A plan, which is pure PAYU with no monthly minimum fees. I can't see how you give me a discount for a free service! Things is, and without any statist...

Re: Siemens VoIP/PSTN handsets
It costs a 20c call fee to check Optus PSTN voicemail, so don't do it every 10 minutes. Which is included in the free OCV200 calls I think. Response from support is that call diversion can only be activated on an all-or-nothing basis (not on a No Answer or Busy only basis) via *78 (on) and #78 (off...

Re: Siemens VoIP/PSTN handsets
Thanks - email sent.
I've got myself a small collection of "free" DIDs (Exetel and non-Exetel), so I have a few options in terms of setting one of them up to be a virtual voicemail.

Re: Siemens VoIP/PSTN handsets
At decent prices too... Does anyone know if these phones can be configured to divert incoming PSTN calls to another number (eg on busy, on no answer, permanently, etc)? Reason is, since these ones do not include an answering machine, was planning to set up a PSTN diversion to a spare VoIP DID to be ...

Re: Naked to PSTN, when will phone number change?
All, In order to have your number converted back to PSTN you will need to send an email request to provisioning@exetel.com.au as this is a manual process at the present moment. Once your request has been received, it will then take the below mentioned time frame for the conversion to take place. Pl...

Re: Billing Date Change
Just wondering whether you actually need to change anyone's "usage period" to match the billing run date? My other mobile providers (past and current) wouldn't issue a bill until a few days after the usage period ended, and then payment wasn't actually collected until up to 2 weeks afterwards. I've ...

Re: CAP19 appears as Wireless Broadband
I agree with cipherstreams comments.
I have activated voicemail for my CAP19 plan, via the HSPA/Wireless Broadband menu options. Hopefully this means voicemail will be correcttly enabled on the mobile service (can't test right now, since this phone is for my wife and was only activated this morning).

Re: Is it worth it for me?
Well that didnt help. Thanks though. The estimate section is blank. ADSL1 and 2 active, and available now, but the estimate column is blank. Tried in Opera, Firefox and Explorer. I probably around 1-2 kms from the exchange as the crow flies. Put your address in in order to get estimate of distance ...

Re: Is it worth it for me?
Yes, but it has not been too far off the mark for the searches I've done (provided you have realistic expectations!)
Should mention, definitely put in your address for an indication of where you are in relation to your local Exchange.

Re: Price Increase For Out Of Contract Customers - Continued
Those screen caps look correct to me. $40 to change plans with no contract, or $0 to change plans with a contract.
Maybe FA thought you meant you were being charged extra $40 evry month? The $40 is a one-off plan change fee.
